MEP-8xx in White Ford RT 495 Massachusetts

Where on 495? I know one SS member who just picked up a couple sets at Letterkenney a few days ago (who I was not able to say hi to while I was there... both of us were busy and before I knew it, he was loaded up and gone)... who is from SE MA/RI area (distinct area withheld to protect the...

So I called Faria Beede today...

and the chap on the other end of the phone informed me that 'at this time, we are no longer providing quotes for military gauges'. I was referred to another contact in the same firm, based in Ft. Wayne, IN. Just an FYI to those looking. This is gonna suck for us who need these kinds of parts...

    Replacement access doors for MEP-803a

If you happen upon any other sheet metal panel prints, I will absolutely take them.

    Replacement access doors for MEP-803a

You are a good man, Charlie Brown. I've got a sheet metal guy who was waiting on me to send panel... talk about making life easier.

One step forward, two steps back

Very true. I've got 5 sets here at the moment, with two more being recovered in the morning, but the sentiment is the same. This is one that I have tentatively designated as my own... but that changes all the time ;). I believe I have already found the procedure I need to undertake in...

One step forward, two steps back

And yes, I will consult the TM. Just getting ready for another long drive down to Letterkenney today, so it will be sometime this week.

One step forward, two steps back

Thought I would put some hours on an 802 I swapped all the fuel lines on a couple weeks back. Come back to shut the set off to wire up the load bank (after letting it get to temp)... now there is oil everywhere. Seems I have an oil leak behind the main belt drive pulley (I can see a drip back...

    Ultimate well nut repair

Thought I had a link to the washers. I dont see the harm in running a galvy washer personally

    Ultimate well nut repair

I just got mine from Tank Depot... you have to call them for a shipping rate (their website is gonna take you over the coals). Each unit is ounces.. its still a rip off, but its how they make money on the part.

    Mep803a questions

I have understood it to mean they plugged the slave, and hit the dead crank to make sure it wasn't seized up. All the same...

    Replacement access doors for MEP-803a

But someone got a 10k for a real fair price yesterday morning, before the pricing went thermonuclear again. Lucky.

    Replacement access doors for MEP-803a

No I didn't buy anything yesterday. Too rich for my blood. I'll wait a bit to see if prices cool off.

    Replacement access doors for MEP-803a

I hope you at least filed a damage claim. Your freight always carries a minimum liability (based on weight for things like this). I got Old Dominion to cough up $1750 on a damaged 803A (they dented up the top sheet metal over the radiator). That was the cost to replace the panel... (which did...

Mep-802A. No power at convenience receptacle

Was my plan to take from the donor machine, but as I called Allied Wire a couple days ago... they were no help (and one of the suppliers listed under the NSN). So it was top of mind.

I'm telling you... I gotta stop posting while at work, paying half attention. Thanks

Mep-802A. No power at convenience receptacle

You have a good source for the wire for the quad mod, Guy? The fuse and holder are easy enough to find (holder is discontinued, but replaced by another model). I have a couple machines that need this.

    Ultimate well nut repair

Did I read in a previous thread about this that said you also need to source a 3/4" washer to go with the bulkhead fitting?

    Mep803a questions

I saw that set 1800... GL has been pushing a lot of beat up dogs out. I still can't believe what people are paying for them (especially GL can't be bothered to provide run videos like GP).

    Mep803a questions

What do you have for power needs? Are you looking for 'life uninterrupted' power or something to reliably keep the lights on, the fridge going, and most basic appliances on? Many folks overlook the MEP-802A... but its a fuel sipping gem. It will produce a max of 7.5kw. They can typically be...
