Any quality diesel fuel system cleaners?

So I pulled the float assembly out of the 803... and its not the same part as what I pulled out of the 802. I thought I had read earlier in the thread that you mentioned to swap them over (assuming this was one of the multitude of common parts between the machines). Looks like that test isnt...

Any quality diesel fuel system cleaners?

I found a new one on that big auction site for $70. Gonna take the unit from the 803 today and see if the problem disappears (same for the module mounted that hooks to this... swap and test if this part proves to be OK).

I wonder if this part was revised at some point? The document I have can be seen here. Maybe I need to seek out a newer document... or maybe I'm just looking at it wrong? Edit: I think I am... I think my interpretation of the line passing through the gasket was of a space... where its just...

I can pull my fuse in the morning to check for markings. Meant to say that before.

What are your power needs, and are the items in these clinics running at? Are you sure nothing is 480 being a commerical install?

Any quality diesel fuel system cleaners?

Ok so I got a little bit of time earlier to pull some sheet metal on both machines. In looking at the documentation in the -24 on this, the float tube and the low fuel level/auxiliary fuel pump float switch appear to be separate units (one installed in the other)... but what I pulled out seems...

Welcome! Have you downloaded the manuals for this set yet? I think the info you want, to lead you to the eventual answer, is in the -24P manual. For most components it will give you part number information to further seek out a NSN... to find out details. I don't have time to look at the moment...

    Disaster generators

Thats why I mentioned Honda the first go around. There are less expensive models... I just know Honda generators last. Ive got a 5kw gas unit thats going on almost 25 years now, and she still puts out nice power.

    Generators at GL ?

Have you determined what your actual needs are? If you dont need 16kw, or anywhere near it (I suspect you actually use a fraction of this!)... you are going to be needlessly chewing fuel. Your dollars though.

    Disaster generators

I would probably shoot for one of these $1k Honda inverter generators, if they have access to gasoline. I imagine its just decimation down there... so it might simply be a 'feel human again' thing to get some lights working, maybe a small refridgerator, etc.

    Disaster generators

I would find out what the availabilty is for fuel... no generator is going to help if they can't keep it full.

I'm thankful that this is a company truck... because I couldn't afford it otherwise! The advantage of running diesel for everyday folks, in these kind of trucks, is a substantially longer payback compared to the gas equivalent. The math doesn't work for 90% of owners.

I have a 2014 F350 with a 6.7 Powerstroke... and I couldn't be happier. I've had only a single code in three years related to anything fuel (DEF tank had some crystalline left over when I ran it down). For some things... two steps forward, three steps back. I'm quite happy with the performance...

All I could find: https://www.justrite.com/aeroventtm-drum-vent-with-filter-and-one-extra-replacement-filter-3-4-bung-opening.html Its not really a dessicating filter though... its more for chemical absorption (and its not the same threading). I use these on my tanks (doesn't help you here...

Well seeing as your fuel source is in the building, you could always fab up a mount on your wall to hang one of these: https://www.grainger.com/product/35ML57?&cm_sp=-_-Customers_Also_Viewed-_-AZIDPRR_1714-9435-3&cm_vc=AZIDPRR_1714-9435-3&req=Customers_Also_Viewed Then you could plumb to it...

Light came back on tonight... Guess I'm pulling sheet metal this weekend when the rain subsides. In the mean time though, gonna find out what replacement prices are for the parts in question.

Thats a nice way to do it. My personal preference would be to do a hybrid of what you did, but have the aux fuel house on the house on some sort of spool (so it could be back drained when not in use, versus having fuel sitting in the line until next refill). But good job nonetheless.
