Oh, and I hope you enjoy the Stones Guy. I saw them in Hartford, CT about 15 years ago... 6 rows from the stage. My parents have seen them live 20 times.
So a bit more info... I noticed that the fuel gauge would go from Full and swing all the way to Empty (randomly), stay there for a second, and swing back. It would do this like once every few minutes.
Yes, I have a access to an 803A... but the the gas gauge has never read right. Havent had time to track down if its the gauge or the sender. Open one door... two more problems present themselves. Guess I don't have much of a choice.
I've got two folks already interested in this 802, so I'd...
Filter was changed... and we have improved, but its not fixed. It is still stalling out after 10 minutes under 'no fuel' conditions. What is the likelihood that this is being cased by something in the water seperator? I really don't want to take that **** thing off... but if I have to, then the...
Welcome to SS! No, it doesn't. This isnt a gravity feed system. It will pull the fuel out of a tank that is below grade. How far down... I don't know. But it will pull the fuel.
The Generac brand name used to be one of quality... a number of years ago they made some strategic decisions to becomes the 'every man power generation company' and of course the rest is history. My father has one, says its great... but he hasn't had to use it for any extended time since...
How about a 24V jump starter? What kind of batteries do you run? Might it be a safe bet to bring the batteries with you, so you can make sure they are fresh and charged for your trip?
Oh, and I stopped at Wal Mart on my way into work, and grabbed a can of Seafoam. New fuel filter arrives sometime Saturday... Will advise. Thanks for the recommendations.
Well I took the rear control cover off, as well as the first piece of roof top sheet metal last night. I wanted to see exactly where the next fuel fitting was (and to make sure I wasn't about to shove my hand up into a wasp nest or something equally as stupid...). I will probably take the rest...
The pig is full... filled it upon arrival with fully treated fuel by mistake (I thought I was filling my 803, which was right next to it). Will drain it if need be... but Im hoping not to. When its not under load, it seems to run smooth (or what I take smooth for a two cyl of this style to be).
Thanks everyone. So heres the scoop... only the second time I've been able to get at this machine. When it first arrived I changed fluids and oil filter (didnt have fuel filter in stock)... was getting zero fuel in the seperator after getting it to stall out 30 seconds after run. I figured there...
Got an 802 that is stumbling for fuel (pumps seem to work OK.. havent swapped filter yet). New filter will be in shortly... but I figured it might not hurt to see if there is a high test additive I can put in the tank to see about cleaning up any potential residue in the lines. Thanks
I am not entirely sure this is the avenue you should be pursuing jboulay. In seeing all of your responses, and lack of overall effort shown in this endeavor... you might be better suited to finding a generator with not only local parts availability, but also local service available. I am not...
