    M101a2 racks and bows ?

Getting ready for Monday Pick up of M101A2 @ Fort Drum. How difficult is it to revove the racks and bows, trying to figure out what I need to bring, my m101a2 that I've been using is without the racks and bows. thanks. Once again anything I can look at or take pics of while I'm up there let me...

    Making a m101a2 dump

The brake lines should have a coil in them that allows the flex. I believe the same with the wires. With mine I fished my new 4-pin connecter through the A Frame and attached scotch locks to the 4-wires that matched up using the wire diagram in the TM. I believe these trailers are ready to dump...

    M101 A2 Helper springs

Thanks for the input, That is what is GREAT about SS. Like the idea about adding extra springs and also checked out Saturn Surplus, if they are newer or not used, that will be a good place to start, I go to Carlise alot, so not hard to do a drive by. :jumpin:

    M101 A2 Helper springs

Thanks for the suggestions, I still have to figure out what axle and spring layout would be close to the M101A2, Blazer, 2500 Chev PU, Dodge Ram????? so Hellwig can send something that will fit.

    M101 A2 Helper springs

No I think in additon to the springs, I beleive the rest of the axle and shocks can handle it, think the springs are undersized for the whole trailer. Also the Hellwigs are a lot less expensive as well.

    M101 A2 Helper springs

What do you guys think. Springs on my my A2 seem a bit weak, compared to everything else on the trailer. I put Hellwig over load springs on my B2500 Van conversion 2-years ago and they are the best. Do you see any reason why they won't work on the A2. Hellwig Products | load pro series | Sway...

    M101 on-road weight capacity

You can get the hitch pins @ Tractor supply. Good advice on reeming out the holes first. Also we installed bump stops on the "A" frame just behind the brackets, sometimes the bed will come down quic especially if the bed is not empty and brackets will not allign. Check out the link for tractor...

    M101 on-road weight capacity

With the price of a M101A2, I was glad that is what I purchase. When I load it with gravel it pushes my 40hp Masey around like a little Craftsman lawn mower. Also the surge brakes is what has saved the whole deal. With my 2500 Dodge B- Van conversion, hauling topsoil was nothing. Not so sure I...

    Won One

Took a while, just informed by GL, won MIOIA2 with racks and bows. Will probably need guidance with EUC and how to be patient while waiting. I have used the heck out of my original MIOIA2, hauling bank run gravel to build road by my pond in the woods, these trailers are tough. Thanks for all the...

    Backing up with surge brakes?

go ahead and back up I agree w/ the parking brake conclusion. I have used my m101A2 on and off road, loaded to the max(springs flat and slightly turned down) at first had problems backing up, until I adjusted the brakes. I'm amazed at how well the surge brakes work, especially going down 10%...

M101A1 New Guy needs wiring adaptor / converter

If you unplug the intervehicle cable at the junction box, you can save it and plug it back in. Using scoth locks at 22-460, 22-461 & 21 (each wire has metal ID plate # just after plug in) and a little electric tape, you are on your way.

M101A1 New Guy needs wiring adaptor / converter

I was able to seperate(unplug) the wiring on the A-frame(Hitch) at the junction box, then schothlocked a regular 4-pin trailer connector. Then replaced the top 2-bulbs with 12-volt bulbs. works fine. You should be able to use the following diagram to hook your 4- wires to. WIRING DIAGRAM
