    IH DT466 swap

Loosen the compressor belt and run it... bad compressor can simulate engine blowby. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

    IH DT466 swap

15-40 Rotella also. Maybe it is worth running John Deere break in oil for 500 miles or so to. I'd defer to some of the diesel mechanics here...rustystud...whaddayasay? Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

    IH DT466 swap

No negative opinion of the DT466 here. I think I would want to know for sure that the multi has a real problem before embarking on transplant surgery. For starters, I would do the preventative maintenance it needs, load it up (5 tons of sand or gravel or whatever) and run it long and "hard"...

No/little fuel to secondary and final filter

How did you get the air out? Just let the in tank pump run for a minute or five to push fuel all the way? Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

Loss of Brakes (Air Pressure) Procedure

Perhaps a good start would be to state that the brakes on your truck are hydraulic in function, with air to assist with the pedal effort. Losing air assist does not mean you are losing the brakes. You will be limited in how hard you will be able to apply the brakes without air assist. 98G said...

    M35A2 wiring troubleshooting

Is the battery cable itself ok? The insulation becomes chafed over time and it shorts to the frame.

Deuce will not start after several years of sitting

10-4 on that. Good point. I definitely thought more of a fuel shut off stuck closed as the next issue. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

Deuce will not start after several years of sitting

The OP did not even get to the point of the engine cranking over. Maybe that should be the first achievement?

Deuce will not start after several years of sitting

    - batteries hooked up correctly for 24V and at good voltage? - battery cables well attached and the cables itself are not chafed where they go through openings/over edges? - transmission is in neutral (you sure?) and you depress the clutch before attempting to start? - grab a fan blade, press...

    Lds-465 Engine Knocking. AGAIN

Oerthedge21, I rebuilt my LDS as well. As opposed to you, I kept my liners (honed them) and my pistons (new rings). All new bearings. New heads. Initially, there was zero blow-by. After the break-in period (same technique as you used) and a good 1000 km of driving, a lot with loads, I now do...

    Finding TDC the easy way.

This is interesting. As I have learned, the fast way to find correct TDC on the multifuel is to take off the oil filler cap and when the crank pulley is on the TDC mark the # 2 exhaust will be open. When you look down the oil filler opening it will be the valve just to the front of the cap hole...
