I love the "resurrection" videos one can find on youtube and find it strangely touching when old iron comes back to life. Of course, from a preservation standpoint, you would not want to do that, really. You would want to drain the oil and fluids, at least open the bottom of the engine, make...
Did you have soldier B depress the brake pedal while you measured continuity? Because otherwise, there should be no continuity; switch is open. If you get continuity with the brake pedal depressed and the lights work when you jump the terminals then, good grief, the lights ought to work!
Oh, and because Murphy did not seem to have been around lately, but is always up for having a gay old time, I got to spot this as I was cleaning up from my ties down anchor job:
Is this....??
Oh, it sure is! Inside of rim is all wet. Thanks, Murphy. Didn't have one leaking in two years.
My drop sides did not come with the cargo tie down pockets and anchors.
Here is how to fix that:
1) get and read TB9-2300-280-30 cargo tie down install. http://imfmotorpool.com/010913.PDF
A M35A2C needs eight on each long side, two in the tail gate and two in the front for a total of 20.

I never thought of doing that. [thumbzup]
I am 6ft3 and it is agonizing to work on the air pack or parking brake underneath the truck. D'oh...raise the truck, dummy! aua
I understand and I actually kept the piece I cut (the whole portion up to the curved outlet), although there is nothing special about it. I just added a piece of straight pipe on top of the muffler and put a flapper on top. That way I could return it to stock by welding the pipe back on. Knowing...
The pieces I did not mount are the oval rifle stock brackets that go on the floor; unless you are actually transporting rifles all the time, they simply are in the way. The rifle holds fine without them.
The only thing I would add is, orient yourself before you rip the old rubber out - which side is which. It is very frustrating when, after you got the new one in and perfectly seated, you discover that it is inside out and re-do the whole thing, only to discover that you had it right the first...
That shop will be comfortable working on things heavy and bulky and they certainly understand rear ends.
There appear to be a few things that ARB is not mentioning. I would at least provide that info to the shop...a random example is that you need to substantially grind out the casting on the...
Deere, if it is for a Deuce, plenty of people had good success with off-the-shelf mufflers you get at NAPA. Donaldson is quite popular or the glasspack varieties. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?56309-Deuce-muffler-option
I am not going off-roading, no I won't. Just a little evening drive. On the road.
Well, there was this ATV trail underneath the power lines. Just took a little peek. Transfer in LOW, 1st gear. I did not think I would make it back up the hill I went down, but it climbed right up! On dry ground...
I am curious...
When I am heavy, I put the transfer into LOW, start off in 2, shift 2-3-4-5, then go into HIGH and shift 4-5. Seems easier on the clutch. Seems to get going quite easily, even when loaded.
The 3052 tranny gives better spacing of the gears but you are effectively neutering your...
No need to remove anything. Drill with engine idling. The overpressure keeps the filings out that the grease on your drill doesn't catch.

Out of curiosity, when you say put "more" money into her, what did you already get fixed?
You are getting good advice here already. Says the guy who drove his new acquisition home about 900 miles after a 3 day basic lube, grease and cleanup service. All six axle seals leaked...had no spares...
The advice I received when doing my clutch during an engine swap was "don't even worry about it ".
I think you did a good step there; no harm in having a balanced assembly. The holes are of course to lighten the wheel at specific places. They will not affect functionality.

The axle shafts themselves and the differential gears are not moving side to side, it is the whole axle assembly. So, no, this would not affect a locker. The mechanical lockers simply lock up when power is applied to the driveline and unlock for coasting.
People that have mechanical lockers...
