SERVICE BULLETIN: M35A3 Self-Destructed Radiator Fan Threw Blades

I replaced my M35A2 riveted steel fan with a $13 fan from Summit Racing, blades shortened with a pair of scissors, to prevent the possibility of radiator-destroying missiles. I drove the Deuce without a fan for a few weeks (because people have said you really only need the fan when the truck is...

    What does this knob do?

It appears to be between the seats rather than under the dash, so I second a pull/push cable to operate a PTO or hydraulic valve. Throttle cable is also possible but that tends to be on/under the dash.

    11r22.5

Wrong side...I'm just above NY state. You would only buy rims once, regardless how much you drive. If you really want 22.5, it's either scrapyard searching (not here; these wheels do not exist where I live, as I said) to save a few bucks, or buy new and be done with it.....or be able to recenter...

    11r22.5

If you search here, there is a company that makes the 6 lug 22.5 wheels new. About $250 per. Someone here very recently posted pics and links. Wheels look sharp and he runs duals. I have looked for the "you just gotta look, they are out there" wheels. Not sure where they are, but out there they...

    An interesting article

Link works when copied into browser and putting "http" in front. Nice pic, good read, recollections (some inaccurate) from someone who used to own a Deuce. Sent from my SM-T560NU using Tapatalk

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Finally got around to soldering wires back onto the trailer plug. Previous owner had ripped them all out. Had to solder with a propane torch because my sodering iron is too wimpy to heat up those massive metal lugs of the plug. There is a first time for everything....propane soldering. I did...

    M35a2 Fuel issue

Have you taken out the hex plug in the center of the hydraulic head and verified that the plunger inside the head moves up and down? Here is a useful thread: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?103256-M35A2-no-fuel-at-injectors And another...

    Hello everyone! New owner here!

Before you spend $50 on a replacement flasher unit that will, again, cr*p out on you, read this thread and make your own: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?134679-M-series-flasher-relay-civvy-conversion-how-to

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Installed civilian LED 7" head lights from an auction site. They are 120W CREE. I did not measure the draw; in general, the vendors tend to be a bit optimistic about light output. They come with a 3 prong plug in harness that is easily modified by cutting off the civy end and replacing with 3...

    Exhaust Gasket Help

Look into TM9-2320-361-24-1. https://jatonkam35s.com/DeuceTechnicalManuals/TM9-2320-361-24-1.pdf No particular preference for any vendor, but here is an example: First gasket, up at the turbo: https://www.bigmikesmotorpool.com/products/exhaust-turbo-gasket-m35a2-11677119 The other two...

Headlight bucket rings - my nemesis

I can make a new harness for the civilian LED headlights and solder everything nicely, I can crimp the military connectors and put it all together. But for the life of me I cannot get the three locking screws for the headlight bucket rings lined up so that all three of them actually grab. One...

    Gauge question M35 reo

Your auxilliary switch ("ignition") may not disconnect properly. I can play with mine and get the air buzzer to stop but the battery/charging gauge is still on, if I deliberately keep the switch in an almost-off position. Yes to the battery cutoff - that is a good safety device in any case! As...
