That truck looks like its gone through a rebuild to me. They probably reset/replaced the hours and odometer then. I don't know about all the rebuilds, but most will include a dataplate below or near the original dataplate that indicates when and where it was rebuilt. Sometimes GL will show...
What you're describing sounds about right. I just replaced the window channels on both of my doors, and they looked like that. The felt was fairly thin in my opinion, but after installing both the front and rear channels, the window is definitely much more snug. Almost to the point of being...
Hey Steve, are you just putting in a drivers seat? I just picked up a pair of Bostroms last week. The drivers side went it great (with a short spacer) but the one for the passenger side is way too tall. Going to have to engineer something to keep my passenger from hitting their head. LWS mount...
It's personal preference for sure. Aside from emergency/volunteer vehicles, it's purely a show-off thing. Bigger this, brighter that, louder sound.
I think it'd be cool in a parade setting, but other than that it would probably just take up space and go unused
I was getting power to my instruments and some, but not full, power to the starter. Seems that one of my battery connections was loose. A few quick turns with a wrench and I had full power restored. It might be completely unrelated to your issue, but grounds/connections would be the first...
Start with your battery connections and grounds. Make sure that everything is good and tight. I know that sounds elementary, but I just diagnosed what I THOUGHT was a cold weather issue was really just a loose battery connection
Not a problem necessarily, but I don't want him to hook up a battery charger intended to charge a single battery and be upset/disappointed/stuck because it didn't perform like he wanted. More of an FYI. I don't see it hurting anything. Its not like it will DIS-charge his batteries...
You should really charge the batteries separately, ideally with separate maintainers/chargers. If you only attach the one charger to your two batteries, you'll only be getting half of the advertised "charge" to each battery.
Your batteries are wired in parallel to provide you with the 12...
That place isn't the easiest to get in and out of for most people. Do you have DOD stickers on your recovery vehicle? If you do, that'll make it a lot easier. If NOT then you'll have to spend a few hours at the security office to get a pass. They also keep short hours with a long lunch...
If you suspect leaking at the IP, take a second to check the base of the oil filters. I had a good leak on the engine side of one of my filters. It would leak down onto the IP, and make it look like the IP was leaking. A lot easier to replace an O-ring than the IP.
Sorry about the run on sentences up there. Not sure what happened to the formatting.
The cut air line will affect your brakes. On the deuce they are air over hydraulic, so not COMPLETELY air, but will still be affected.
Make sure that before you apply any power to the truck you cover all the...
