Excellent advice here. I would also add that in regard to the potential video, time isn't on your side. Most security camera software will only hold footage for 30 days unless someone MANUALLY saves it. You're about 2 weeks in at this point, so the sooner you get your hands on it the better...

Mike, are you going to mount the Pioneer Rack outboard of the fuel tank like you did on your 923? Or in another location? I really like that mod, great use of space. I'll be copying it!
I agree, no more than 50/50 on average. A little more oil on occasion shouldn't affect you too much. You can run a little more in the summer, but should tone in down to about 80/20 in the winter since it gets thicker.

+1 on the hearing protection. Aside from your standard toolset, I've found razorblades/razor knife handy. On my last recovery, the windows were so covered in green spraypaint I could hardly see! Had to scrape them at the first gas station I could find.

I gave Virginia DMV a title for my M35A2 that said 1970, Jeep (Its a Kaiser Jeep), Pickup, 3 axles....and walked out with a title that said 1970, Jeep, SPORT UTILITY, 2 AXLES. Guess I should have known to check their work a little closer.
I was driving mine (M35A2) regularly to work without any problems. I've heard that shorter trips cause the injectors to coke up faster, since the engine isn't running long enough/hot enough whatever to fully burn off the contaminants....but like I said, never had any issues.

Pete do you plan to mount that shelter in your truck full time? Or are you planning to make it removable?
I'm toying with the idea of doing something similar, but I'd prefer to have the option to remove it so I can have use of the bed.
