I do and I don't... I'd rather I fixed it so I can be reasonably sure it won't come back. But the lazy side of me is glad I can move on to something else!
We made a day trip to Charlotte and saw the movie. I enjoyed it, but I gotta say it was pretty bad. Like really bad. It was cool seeing the mvs though.

Neither is blasting the intake with a fire extinguisher I imagine, but most of us would do it in an emergency.

I may have spoken too soon:

I expect the War Department to impose economic (and possibly other) sanctions.
My slats are fiberglass. So I just drilled what holes I needed and will come back later and fill the others with epoxy, then repaint.
I think if I were to replace them, I'd try to find another set of fiberglass ones. There's just not a whole lot that can go wrong with them.
Most guys who...
Got the troop seats installed. Still a little bit to do on that. I had to drill new holes for just about every stake, and on the passenger side the open end (I think it's supposed to be a handhold) was in the front and not the back. Last night I also backed off the wheel bearing nut on the...
That's interesting. I wonder which wears brake parts more (or builds up more heat for that matter), more pressure for a shorter period or less pressure for a longer period?
I'm going to have to look into the physics of it now.
I wonder if this one would work for the transfer case:
JEGS Performance Products 62380 Shifter Boot & Plate
The size is a bit smaller.
Mine's got a round rubber boot on the gearshift already. I don't recall air coming from it.. but then my windshield seals are like swiss cheese so maybe I just...
My heater is mounted much farther forward, and is enough of a pain in the rear that I considered taking it out entirely.
But after seeing how you did yours, I think I will just move it. I really like how yours came out. I need to replace the intake air hose anyway.
I've made quite a few...
Last night I started working on my troop seats. Turns out I don't have all the right stakes. I have two passenger side front stakes and no driver's side rear.
I may just drill new holes in the slats and make that sucker work anyway.
I'm only up to about page 12 on the thread so I'm not 100% up to speed yet. You're replacing engine compartment tubing with air brake hose and it looks really nice lol. Up till then you'd just mostly sanded and painted.
That short hose you speak of is an oil hose I believe. Just tightened...
Fired up the truck, and after 5 minute warmup I ran the rpms briefly to 2000 and then released the accelerator as I would do if I were shifting. No surging. I did this several times.
However, this time the idle was normal (~800 rpm).
I took the fuel cutoff cover off and pulled the little...
Beautiful truck!
I wish I could start on painting mine, but for now I'm obsessed with drying up the various leaks.
Your thread definitely gives me motivation and inspiration.
