The problem is that while places list the new part no one has it or can get it. Will be going to NAPA to see what store says. Summit,Rockauto,Jegs list it,can not get it.

Delphi NLVP 1697 is the part number I find. I can not find one is stock. Any one have a stash of NOS?

It tightens on to where it seems it is going to break the tiny screws.

I followed CUCVRUS 's advice." Just unplug it under the hood and work the wire connection towards the inside of the cab. It is tight but it will fit. Just cover the hole with a grommet of padded tape. Happy Holidays and be patient. It fits with no cutting. Or just cut the wires off both ends...

Not much to tiny tach,I put it where the voltage gauge was,got power from fuse box ran other wires out to where the transducer mounted. Transducer just clamps to fuel line,magically reads the fuel pluses.

If it was not dark I would take a picture;yes,I know there is flash,will get a pic tomorrow. Simple is key to me,and this install is.

Removed the Diagnostic Plug and harness. Have a nice gauge bracket now,just gotta decide which one I want.

Yes, The box with the card is taped to the wires that go to the diagnostic plug. I will have to track those wires.

Kinda off track question; there is a smaller,similar box with a "card" in it taped to the multipin plug deal. What is it for?

I put Offroad Designs springs on the front of 1028. They are very nice. Ride well. Seem to carry weight well.
