Yes this is a must. I took out the aluminum part of the compression fitting ground it down and tig welded it shut.
The only bounce I notice is around 45mph and only at that. Very comfy riding considering, the important thing to remember is its still a 21k pound truck with no rear suspension.
I run what was recommended on the sidewall 90-100, but felt it was too high, so I run 80 all around, I feel that 60 psi for strictly high way will eat the tread faster, that and a highway baby doesnt need that much traction in summer, now come talk to me when I go off roading or when winter comes.
Winch arrival in t-minus 2 days!!!!
Karl, I cleaned up the tarp just waiting on the bow corners to arrive, thanks smittyjr355! In the mean time of waiting for the winch and bow corners Im going to go get the wood cross members.... anybody help a guy out with those measurements.
Off topic here a little but still with PSI. 1400's suggest 90 psi on the side wall, while the CTIS fills to 60PSI. My question is what is the A1 crowd running for highway?
Your going to get it sooner or later, so I guess I'll be the bear of bad news. You should google search all those questions with "cucv" in the search and will come up with TONS of thread that have detailed all the questions to the "T" on this site.
This I can answer:
DD: many have done it and...
Paypal will ban you almost immediately if they find you using their site for payment of firearms... not sure where they stand on relics or weapon components.
FYI for those of you wondering if you need to change your pump, thinking it is wearing out or already wore out(i.e. me!) Cummins states to unhook fuel supply line after pump and insert into container, pull fuel shut off, and crank for 30 sec. continuous. If you have under 150ml in your container...
Okay stupid me, the transfer pump is your fuel pump, driven by your cam shaft, to test it you have to undo the hose going to the water separator and crank for 30 sec. with the fuel shut off pulled. and you should have ATLEAST 150ml of fuel if it is less than that you have to replace you pump, or...
Also, in addition to truck modifications for better traction, I dont know how long you've had this girl, but from your post it sounds like you just got her. Don't cut her short, drive her out there and do work, learn how she handle and how to improve your handling of her. Reading can only do so...
No doubt lockers make a difficult drive, easy for even the novice of drivers. Those water tenders had some experience of some sort, once you start hopping stop. Your not going anywhere but down, stop back up and try again. Same is true for mud, snow, spinning tires...etc Most vehicles will do...
Not always the case. But a possibility!

A couple things to note about this video too, Just because your hoping doesn't mean your stuck, it also doesn't mean to keep hoping till you bury yourself(because now your fun turned into a recovery, which can...
Ditto what recovery said, also it is 6x6 but unless its a marine truck you dont have lockers. If you did then that truck would quite literally be unstoppable! Also, what kind of grade are you going up, it wasnt exactly meant for hill climbs.
Mine quit working too, found out on of the hub seals went and filled the valve with oil, made the computer show 5 flashing stars. If you want the cool factor Id start there checking the tire valves. If you had it just as a convenience, do what I did unplug the controller and plug off the tires.
