Installing new leaf spring bushings brought mine up an inch. Rearched and added springs gave 4" more for a total of 5"
Popped on Hummer wheels and 37" tires. Needed a little trimming on the fenders.
So since your switching a relay with the headlight switch and not the lights directly that would decrease the current flow ( amperage) through the switch, correct?
Is this also going to decrease the amps through the headlight fuse in the fuse box?
That is correct. you are using a lower...
CUCV...no AC...no frills...need upkeep...but fairly easy to work on..Parts are sometimes easy to find ,sometimes not. Gotta remember CUCV was a stop gap measure for the military until the HMMV was produced. It was to last 10 years or so. They took off the shelf civilian vehicles and converted...
how many relays and how much wireing is involved in this harness upgrade. I'm looking at putting one together myself; living in Alaska has its perks but at the same time doubles the price of anything from LMC.
2 Relays sir. Make sure they are rated for 20-30 amps. One relay for low beams one...
Had the same problem(s) with mine. First was the shaft seals on the IP. Replaced the seals...no leak. Second problem was the lift pump. PITA to replace but after completion....no leak!

Ive looked around and I cant finrd a difinative answer for my M1008. The alternator on the the drivers side is for 12v, the alternator on the passenger side is isolated and produces 24v (12+12) for the second battery. I have an "alternator whine" on my communications equipment mounted in my...
I went the HMMV wheel tire route. Replacing the front leaf bushings will give you about an 1" (old age rots them out) adding another spring and re-arch got me 4" more. I changed out the front hubs with a 87 dually. That gets you the space you need. Some minor trimming on the fenders and viola! YMMV
