    where to get some rubbers

I got mine at the gas station across the street. They are spermicidal lubricated... not takin any chances. :-D

    GPS in a deuce

Mine's a handheld waterproof Garmin unit that I uploaded street maps to. Not great for driving though.

    Traction: Super Singles or Duals?

Another thing to consider is the actual tire tread. I'd rather have a single tire with aggressive tread than dual NDTs.

    CB radio in a deuce?

Consider wiring the CB into an aircraft-style headset? Plug wouldn't be too hard to solder up.

    M35A2 bobbed as Expedition vehicle?

    sorry, locking hubs.

    M35A2 bobbed as Expedition vehicle?

This is exactly what I am considering my deuce for. Definitely keeping it 6x6. Less ground pressure, better off road performance. Large single tires. With larger tires you can expect a cruising speed of 60. Crank up the fuel a wee bit and get top speeds of 65. Fitting an 11' slide in truck...

S-250 Shelter / Ham Shack Conversion

Lighter and easier than Hi-lift jack. Tuggy T-Post Puller | Wire + Tools | Northern Tool + Equipment Would also recommend the post driver (metal pipe with two handles) to make driving the rods easier.

    Anyone know what this is?

Cool axle setup! I'm going to have to say homebuilt with an axle and parts scavenged from a military trailer.

    Hemtt beadlocks

Can't remember where I saw it. Some offroad magazine or website. Some guy was using hummer beadlocks and using PVC as the inner. Eventually he welded up a metal "cage" to serve the same purpose. Picture two rings of steel plate, probably cut with waterjet or CNC, joined by welded steel bars...

    Boot Protectors.

Saw this little guy while browsing an offroader magazine. I'm definitely putting some on my deuce; can't hurt if I hit a rock or stump. SFW Rock Boot Guards [SFW-R20010] - $109.95 : Sniper Fabworks 888-999-8149 I was also thinking, they don't look all too hard to build for $100+ Maybe I'll...

    My new M35A1 project

Any chance I could convince you to crawl around in the mud and get me some pics of how they did that exhaust system? :-D

Good snow and a few vehicle recoveries

Your neighbors must love living next to a guy that owns MVs!

    No Garage, Need Insurance

Any possibility you could throw a shelter on the back and call it an RV and get it insured that way? Lots of folks have motorhomes that they park outside and weigh over 10k.

    Head board crane

Use this for ideas? T-Max 1000-Lb. Capacity Pickup Truck Crane | Truck Cranes | Northern Tool + Equipment

I believe Magnus comes before God. :-D

    My M1009 in Flames.

Now why didn't the Army think of this as a viable camouflage scheme?

    Future deuce driver

I say thank you to this post because I didn't think anybody else in the world still did that. Makes me smile.
