    Video: Oshkosh M-ATV new prototype

It looks like the mutant offspring of a hummer and a MRAP. I like it.

Went to the beach with my girlfriend....topless!

Yeah, but the commonly accepted saying is that the holes in the floor let out what the top lets in :-D Nice 109. Using a deuce as a diving platform, what CAN'T these things do!! Looks like alot of fun!

How do you drain the air tanks?

Ferro's idea reminded me of what I have on my shop compressor. Its a electronic solenoid valve that automatically releases for a few seconds every hour or so. I'm sure somebody makes one that will work on 24 volts. That way, its a pre-assembled unit, no tinkering needed. (although i'm sure many...

    Pre luber install

Question: do you have to sit there forever to get it to build pressure? or does the momentary work fine?

    WHY is my CUCV PINK?

I think this has been asked before but I have yet to hear a good answer... anybody? Anybody? Bueller? Bueller?

    Big Refueling Truck - Oshkosh

Most airport vehicles can book it pretty good, except for the tugs. Time (and therefore speed) is money.

    bobbed deuce

WHICH is why I added my second post. Caveman's work is great. He obviously did more than hack off an axle and throw some trailer springs under it. To me there is in fact a difference between a "custom" (which I applaud) and a "hack job" (which includes no originality, thought, or skill)

    Bobbing "Loud & Proud"

Could there be anything more fun than letting a few tons of steel bed fall to the ground??

    bobbed deuce

P.S. Caveman, no disrespect to you. I love your trucks, they look good. It just sickens me that every numbnuts four-wheeler out there thinks that removing one of the axles of a Deuce is totally awesome. What happened to Jeeps with Rockwells??

    Wheeee! A bobbed Deuce!

driving with one wheel/tire/axle off the ground

Holy ****!! y'all argue more than my state mandated anger management support group!!! Damn! So basically, your question, if you were to somehow drive through a field of nails and old rebar and go through ALL your spare tires, in the middle of nowhere, would it be OK to chain up the rear axle...

driving with one wheel/tire/axle off the ground

Yeah. You were making it sound like you planned to drive all over hell and back with your axle chained up so you'd have less tires on the ground.

    Onboard Welder?

I want a welder on my deuce for trail repairs as well as producing 115v for tools. Do you guys think it would be simpler to just mount a small gas-driven welder somewhere on the truck, or modify and mount a second alternator run off the engine?

If I get a deuce how broke will I be?

Honestly, it seems that the initial purchase and recovery is the most expensive part, even if you buy from a private seller, because you're still going to want to change the fluids, check the brakes, etc. Then the next most expensive part is making it your own (super singles, radios, maybe a...

How do you check for a dead cylinder.

If you had one of those no-contact laser pointer style thermometers you could start it up and check each exhaust runner on the manifold. If one is colder than the others...

    Drivability??

Here's the thing. If you have money, you can choose to either get it shipped or try to drive it out. You might have no problems, you might have a total breakdown. If you have no money, you have to chance it and drive it yourself, but be prepared to have a friend along the way to store it if...
