    Yet another FDC question!

I will be bypassing my FDC for awhile while I collect parts and make time to repair it. As winter approaches it may be this way a few months. My question. I understand that when bypassed the fuel pump should be turned down. How much to much is it. I don't trive the truck hard, but could use a...

    Replacing my engine

I would get it out of that shop ASAP! Before you jump to any conclusions I would get a couple of opinions from people with diesel experiance. There are several things that can cause a knock in a diesel engine and some cheap simple tricks to troubleshoot them that you might even do yourself. If...

    Winch load test

I wound about 85' in by hand once. Yes it can be done in freewheel mode, but you won't like it much! The PTO shaft will just spin without the pin.

    Crane Ideas?

I have a Cummins crane that I modified and added a hand winch rated at 1400Lbs and a 2nd boom extention with shive. It extended the reach tremendously, and made it easy to put stuff where you want it in the truck bed instead of just over the tailgate. Obviously adding to the boom reduces...

    Bought M105--load out questions

I towed one home empty 60 miles with a GMC 1/2 ton Pickup with a 305. You could tell you were towing something, slowed me down a little but no problems stopping or pulling. Allow extra time and stopping space. I don't think I would tow with anything smaller. I used Magnetic lights to, no problem.

    M1031 Welder

I downloaded the M887 manual on this site. I have a M1028 with the M887 body with the Wisconsin driven generator/welder combonation. Its a totally different setup. Alot of welders seem to be missing from the M1031's. They plug into the generator.

    XM757 details

Backing up a step in the thread... I've driven Mack fire trucks with the Allison 3 speed W/ retarder. The pedal is usually by your left heal infront of the seat. Yours may be placed differently. It was easy to forget the pedal was there and be standing on it unintentionaly. It would stall the...
