My M109 has the LD-465 engine which runs great but is a little smokey on the pull. I have available a 1D turbo and a new exhaust system.
Will adding them help with the exhaust smoke and what else would need to be changed if I did it?
Not sure of the advantages vs the disadvantages.
Just brought home my M109 with 19700 miles on the odometer and 120 hrs on the tach. The odometer was very accurate on the 750 mile trip which took 15 hours driving time while the tach only added 3.5 hours and never showed over 1500 RPM. Guess I need a new tach.
Sad to here of your F150's ailment. Here's a repair suggestion for it: :deadhorse:

Got all the way to Batesville, Indiana and my engine blew!!!!!.......No not on the Deuce but on my F150 chase car . 52 MPH and a piston pin let go and pushed the spark plug clean out of the engine. This I didn't expect, oh well 160,000 miles and I guess anything could happen.
Made it...

Well, arrived at Ft. Riley this morning at 8:oo AM. GL rep took me to the yard where my M109 was stored. It looked like the pictures and in some ways even better. I saw an old lot number on the windshield and was informed it was defaulted on once before. The first thing I did was push the...
Well, its time to head to Ft. Riley. Hopefully I can get my M109A3 started.
Looked at all the posts for recovery tools and supplies. Now just need a good healthy dose of luck.
I'll take pictures and let everyone know if its successful. If everything goes as planned will be heading home on...
Speddmon,
:x Just opened up the control panel and found a bundle of 10 wires connected to NOTHING.
I deduce they are supposed to be connected to the voltage regulator which is AWOL.
This gets funner everyday. Now I need to find a voltage regulator. No wonder it was over producing.
Thanks...
