I need to replace the crank in my M1028A1 with the 6.2L engine. I wouldnt mind haveing a list if differences between military and civilian engines for referance in general. I know of a couple of civilian donor engines I can get parts from but obviously some of it wont be compatible. Any input...

I got mine from Memphis Equipment. The boots were good quality but the clamps were weak where the "wire" is folded back and welded to itself to form the loop to hold the bolt. During tightening I snaped 2 of them right off behind the weld. I hadn't really snuged them hard. Oh well, cant win...
Installed a set on mine a month ago, the new ring clamps were poorly made for the boots and they broke during installation!! I reused the old ones which were better made and still in good shape with no problems.
I haven't decided exactly which engine yet. It appears to have had a LDS-465-1A origionaly. I may upgrade to an LDT-465-1C or 1D so it would be closer parts wise to my other truck. (Not that there really are many differences other than the turbo) But I may also choose to make it closer to...
Im currently looking for LDT-465-1C 0r 1D seeds to plant in the engine compartment. With lots of motoroil, heatlamps, and a dash of Diesel, one should just sprout right in there.
