Why not use the emergency gladhand on the front or rear? I've aired up via the front gladhand without running the engine. Seems simpler that adding more fittings and additional plumbing.

I did this mod back this last January. It's a great set up. I have posted the part numbers from the cardboard packaging.

That's just sounds like the pedal binding at the fulcrum pin. Should be a simple fix.

Do your brakes release when let off the pedal? Your treadle valve may be in need of a rebuild due to bad internal springs or crud build up. Here's the valve TM...

Those are much beefier than the originals. I put a set on my M818 last March. The kits are for good for M809 and M39-series 5-tons also. P/N 12356845: 16 loop kit, available on a reputable auction site P/N 12356842: 20 loop kit, HTF, good luck!
