we have used racet straps looped over the framerails on pickup trucks. if you use the big straps they are rated at 3300lbs each so they should handle it. though a borrowed or rented trans jack will be the ticket. if you had forks on the wheel loader you could slide the trans under and up most of...
So all of us that wheel our trucks are idiots and should not own MV's. Well that's what one guy from Wi says. It apparently pisses him off that we use our trucks for something other than a show truck.
Ever since I've had my truck it has to crank a bit before it starts. so in the beginning I changed fuel filters and didn't help. so further messing around with it we tried pressurizing the fuel tank and no help. so I just put up with it for a while. So last few months after it was warmed up from...
Never too young. my kids were at 4x4 jamboree's ad went wheeling with us since they were a carrier. though my wife was along too to help take care of them.
if it's galled fast you will have to cut it. take the spindle off and to vise or somewhere away from the truck and proceed to cut it I've peeled them off with the torch before. if you're good with a torch you can cut through and not cut into the spindle. I can't remember who but I helped a few...
From what I've seen you get there find a spot and set up. there is normally 2 groups that split. I think the one group runs some tougher stuff but still most likely nothing that's gonna damage a 5 ton. we'll be heading out early Saturday morning also we'll probably be there around 8ish. and yeah...
funny this thread just popped up. we are producing new extensions for the 809 and 939 trucks. the 809's are just about finished the 939's should be done this coming week. will also have new winch side plates or both as well.
unless its a hot humid day i'm surprised it's getting hot. even on the hot days mine was lucky to kick on or even get the temps close to need to kick on when pulling the hills loaded. granted offroad is slower moving but unless you have to run it hard I wouldn't think it should get that hot.
this is the upgrade I'm sticking on my buddies M931A2 right now. its a borg warner. the black one on the right is the stock HX40. This one is a turbo from a pulling truck it would normally have a T6 flange on it but it has been modified with a smaller exhaust housing and T4 flange so it should...
I'm not sure yet. I did this swap earlier in the summer and ran it in the hot humid days for extended runs and pulling some heavy loads up the mountains and the fan only ever kicked on 1 time and that was on a steep pull in the 95 degree heat and about 100% humidity. truck stays around 195 most...
No way. It's a moldy stinky mess right now. Lol I have to finish ripping the floor out over the kingpin yet and then gonna power wash it out. If I camp I'll bring a 105 but the woman is happier with a hotel so we'll see. Lol
