When the MVPA held thier convention at Ft. Indiantown Gap there was a field with 400 or so in it. One of the vendors said they were his and he was going to start proccessing them shortly. Many still had charge in the batteries.
We all dreamed of driving one (or two !!) away.

How would you use a trailer such as this?? Looks like thier should be some kind of container on the rails or between the rails but thier to narrow for regular Conex's.
And to think that most of these residue trucks are from depot level where they don't want to buy new parts so they remove parts off of trucks to rebuild others.
Probably, or just supposing, the residue trucks were probably good running trucks just in the "wrong place at the wrong time".
Last year, there was some postings about GL seeking a bidder that would be able to inventory 100's of trucks at one time. There was quite a discussion on this topic and GL even posted special bid forms for thes sales.

I would think a couple of D-8 Dozers (growzerless tracks) would do it since tanks roll fairly easily if the track(s) aren't frozen however can you imagine the permits needed especially if there's a bridge or two involved. Then there would be insurance but thats a minor issue, the biggest would...
