I know I'll get blasted for saying what I'm going to say. But first before I say whet I'm going to say, I'm going to say I like the "style" of the M211/M135 especially the round sloping front hood.
Usually M211/M135's sell for very little money because of the hydro trans. They do sell for a bit...
Remember Prez Bush Sr.s war there in the desert? Remember how they used hundreds if not thousands of choppers and M1 tanks?? I bet they changed out rotor blades like candy because of the sand and I'm sure the same for the turbo jet engines as well due to the sand. Notice that Prez Bush's Jr. war...
Don't you have a wealth of parts at R.E.O.M.I.E.S and D. Van Dams B.V.
there just over the border in Holland ??
They're's others but they come to mind.
It makes you wonder if they're really going to ramp up to the new duece truck. They had one at the NJ show and the thing is way higher off the road then a M35/A1/A2/A3 and has alot of windshield for the enemy to see.
The cargo body is so high the troops will need an elevator to get in it.
Notice they don't have anyway of disguising the tanker
(unless they have a kit) for combat operations. Would be
a sitting duck marked 'Flammable' and looks like a tanker.
I was going to say. How about these depots that are rebuilding the Hummers? They're must be new/used bodies and parts at the local GL there.
I'm surprised that GL would sell a new body like that seeing as how
there's very few, if any being let out surplus.
As a side note, I've noticed that...
I think that a personal liability policy would be in order if your going to insure your vehicle on the cheap. Or, seriously consider spending the bucks for as much liability as you can get/want on the vehicle.
Appears that it may also be ""un-cut"" as well.
The first gear in them is low-low which is where you get ""low range"".
You can't beat that independent suspension because all four wheels
are on the ground all the time unlike a straight axle.
Deisel is'nt flammable (or as flammable) like gasoline is and people leave their
cars running all the time when refueling.
As far as the teens joyriding -- unless they've been around military equipment, they probably would'nt even know how to drive it.
Interesting and I'm sure alot of fun but I bet the neighbors in that neighborhood of exclusive homes are just thrilled with the all-steel grousers
(instead of rubber padded tracks) on their nice streets. Bet he does'nt drive it far from home or perhaps thats why he's selling it.
Umm -- pick me up one or two of those unissued HUMMVES over in the corner there and perhaps a Sherman Tank or half-track. I'll take a M-60 or M1A1 Abrahms tank if they don't have a Sherman. Oh, and put a MB/GPW Jeep-in-a-Crate on the load for my christmas stocking!!:-D:smile:
At fist I thought homemade however could it be an artic cab of sorts for the CCKW
which would be rare also.
These compressor trucks are as scarce as hens teeth.
