Question: Were gauge panels ever not painted? Mine is anodized or coated with something. It did not have paint that stuck to it. What was there was from the Fire department repaint and came off quite easily by rubbing with a paint stir stick.

Winch lockout parts. At least I have 2 of the 3 pieces. Just need a pin. I can make it

I started with original. It looks like the muffler took a hit and twisted the bracket and center pipe. I just had a heck of a time. The pipe was getting a little thin, so we made new. I just have to finish the stack now. The original flex pipe that attaches to the muffler outlet is solid. The...

I see that. thanks. I'm going on a field trip this afternoon to look at some parts. Some of it is there, but the pin is missing. I will get what I can and post a picture of it. I struggled with the exhaust all weekend. Now I'm beating on winch driveline parts. 20/20 hindsight: exhaust before...

Yes, that is exactly what I'm asking about. Mine is the exact same, but it just does not seem safe. The 2 holes make me think there is something more... I have another one that has some extra brackets on it. Looks like it could be a spring loaded pin or something you have to pull to move the...

    Iola 2015 convoy planning

Looking at the map, I'm probably going to take Hwy 54 out of Black River Falls after work. Iola is 100 miles from there.

    Iola 2015 convoy planning

I'm not sure what path or when I can head out, but I'm going. We should see if we can have someone on standby with a low boy if someone breaks down. If someone has problems we can at least get them off the road and to one of our places for repairs. Don't even ask me why I think like this...

Any one have a picture of the PTO lever for the winch on a M211 or M135? I'm looking tor the one under the seat. There has to be some sort of safety lockout so I don't wrap the front end up like a roll of toilet paper when I bump the thing while driving. Thanks Dan

There is nothing better than when someone takes something apart and posts enough pictures. Thanks for allowing me to understand something.

It is weld. They can be used if welded. The gaskets were blown out worse than the crack. If I did not have another I would have ground it and welded it better. Fortunately my brother found a couple spare engines that the USFS had in Wyoming. I think he paid .35 cents a pound for carbs and...

Interesting project! I remember as a kid in the 70s our Fire Department received a M38a1 and a M715 as part of the civil defense program. They had to display a Civil Defense sticker stating they were federal property. We did get title to the vehicles, But I'm told we had to agree to keep them...

The home stretch.. I'm estimating 80 more hours and 3-400 hundred dollars more and it will be done. Several small reworks and a few paint and install pieces left. Big projects left include: 1. Picking a windshield frame and hardtop from my inventory, replace the glass, paint and assemble. 2...

NAPA parts list for M 135?

Did we ever decide where the parts list was going to live? I cannot remember??? I'm in need of a air intake hose. 3.25" inside by 18" long with a 90 degree bend.

Great weekend. 2 full days inside with the furnace running. One night was a late one. PTO is bolted up. T-case is filled and best of all, no leaks. I will be connecting the cable next. I'm going to hold off on the PTO shaft until I can make another bearing mount and measure the components for...
