I have never seen an underground storage area either. If you read some posts I've put out before I worked underground too. The only thing we stored underground were our computers.
I'd like to know how this guy found out how the vehicle was stored or if he was just told that when he bought it.
I've got an OD Iron kit that I have been waiting to install now for a while. I may just take it over to a mechanic I know who is good with AC systems and let him do it. It's not that I'm worried about tackling it I just don't have the time right now. I bought a house last month and I'm...
Well I think I know the problem then. I disconnected my rear blackout lights a few weeks ago so I could start working on my back swing out tire carrier bumper. I didn't think anything of it and just left the wires hanging. I was mindful not to use my blackout lights though. Flash forward to...
Well I went to go move the M1009 tonight and it didn't want to start. The starter seemed to be dragging a little bit and I looked up and saw smoke rolling out of the hood around the batteries. I pop the hood and the battery cable that comes off the front negative post is smoking and the rubber...
I got to sit in one of the Suburban prototypes at Fort Hood back in the summer of 2001 during the Armored Conference. It was just a 3/4 ton Suburban 4x4 that they painted green and stuck a few extras on. They did modify the lights a little but not too much. The unit I sat in actually had a CD...
Hey all! I've been out of the loop for a while and I'm still not completely back in. I'm closing on a house next Friday, graduating from my Masters program at Texas A&M in less than a month, and I'm getting married on May 28th. Sooooo I've been busy with all that plus the full time corporate...
The few times I've seen a HMMWV stuck the pioneer rack was pretty much inaccessible. I actually have a brand new pioneer rack. I've actually had it for years. One day in our motor pool some private was throwing three of them away brand new in the boxes. I took one and two other buddies with...
If nothing else you can usually start calling sel storage places. They often have a yard for RVs, boats, etc. Just in case nobody here has a big yard you can use.
Good luck on your recovery! :D
I found some replacement glass here in Houston for $70 that is the "tinted" stuff so I'll probably go with that. I'm not sure I'll have time to jack with it though this weekend as I have a lot of stuff to do for my masters. Plus my dang CUCV is still without a fuel tank and I've only scratched...
Ok I checked and can't find a post on Suburbans. Blazers yes but not Suburbans. I recently bought a 3/4 ton Suburban from a member here that has the rear tailgate. The back glass got busted out somewhere along the way and I found a new replacement piece for $70 that is already tinted.
The...
Was it a GL auction? Did they have "starts" in the description!?
Mine had "starts" in the description from GL. When I went to go pick it up it had no GP card, no belts, and the batteries were about dead. I asked the guy who said it "starts" and he said he thought the other guy did.
How about this one? I have a 1986 Suburban I bought yesterday and would like to add the kind of seats that are in my M1009. The bucket types that is. Will they fit?
Where is the best place to find some?
I forgot to mention that the LB7 had problems with their injectors that GM warrantied for something like 7 years. I bet they won't with the engine in a 198something swap job. Just something to think about. Do you have a wrecked Chevrolet/GMC with the diesel motor in it or something?
