The one that goes between the metal line and the trans modulator underneath the truck. Have to be on your back to see and under the passenger side of the truck to see it.
Here is a recent thread started about a CUCV compared to an Excursion for a bug out vehicle. Eventually the topic turned to EMP. I think I may have started to steered it there . Anyway lots of good info there...
I would pull all the hoses and check them all off the truck. In fact if you haven't already replace every hose including the one that goes from the metal line to the transmission modulator. I had a leak on that hose that I couldn't see until I removed it from the truck. So I had vacuum up top...
Trying taking the old one to an electrical supply house. Just show them the old grommet and they should be able to match it.
There are many in your area.

He could be buying them from a GSA auction. I like in his add how he says "never been off the base". How the heck would he know? His price is high and chances are he doesn't really know for sure if the odometer has been rolled over already. Anytime I see that few miles on a truck that old I...
Looking at it right now I would say it's not entirely all that important. You just need to make sure that the condenser is going to fit. How much room is there on top of the heater box?
How about the outside of the bumpers? My truck has some of those brass cable clip things that someone removed the rubber from screwed into the bed just above the tail lights. I guess they just used a rope with a not on the end and then tied it off.
You want to avoid tying them down to the...
I thought so but I didn't want to point it out. The universal ones don't attach the same way and I actually think the jeep ones would fit better on out trucks.
I forgot to mention mine also came with Optima red tops. Also it came with some issue OD green canvas seat covers that had an NSN number on them but they were shredded so I tossed them.
I guess I'll play....
I found about $3.50 worth of change including one of those $1 coins with the indian lady that never caught on. However I consider it the truck's lucky charm and it rides in her always. I found a bunch of hand receipts for explosives and was able to find out that the unit...
You could probably just mount a rear M1009 backwards. You may be able to just mount one up against the tailgate area too though. Maybe find someone with an M1008 and troop seats and just trade them? :-D
By the way the former enlisted soldier in me wanted to snatch those slave cables but I refrained. When I was in the Army we called it RAMP (Random Acquisition of Military Parts). So when out sergeant would say we need some more hand mikes, antennas, IR lights, etc we would just RAMP them. :-D...
It looks really good. Just a tip that you may already know but it does not hurt to mention. When we had these covers on the beds of our M998 HMMWVs in the Army we would take a thin sheet of plywood, paint it black, and attach it to the top bows. We used about 1/4" if memory serves me. We...
I wouldn't but that's just me. I always thought they looked silly on anything less than a 3/4 ton. I know that the M1009 is rated as a 3/4 ton but well you know....
I wouldn't want them on a M1008 though just because they didn't come on the trucks that way.
So who can tell me if the item in the first picture (the comparator) is programable or if you are just taking the old one off and putting the new one on? On the transistor are you also doing the same? My PCB guy said he is ok with just putting these on the board and going with it but he is...
I've shown the black square thing with the rivet to a few now and nobody can get a replacement part number for me. That's all I need and I can start having these boards built.
