    First '52 XM211

I spent a lot of time the last month sorting and organizing parts. Had everything scattered and could not find what I needed. Things were stored at friends, in-laws, trailers and everywhere in between. Stripped everything down to basic parts and "canned" them. The 3 big medical containers are...

Thanks. That "slicker than a minnows chin" is a good one! I have lowered the bar quite a bit. I outlawed anything finer than 120 grit this summer. It ended up being a huge project. Not quite Gunfreak-esque, but big enough. All I wanted was paint under every washer and bracket??? Not much worse...

dual wheeled M105 on GL ........

I just pulled apart a GMC deuce and the wheel bearings, seals, brakes, wheel cylinders, races, lug nuts, wheel studs, are the same as my M105A2. As a matter of fact, My books list the same numbers. The front spindle on the deuce is lighter than the M105. The M105 is a solid spindle, the deuce is...

Tom?????? I may be wrong on the starter/dogbone issue. It may not be an issue with a small high torque unit. I willlook into it further. Tom, where u been?

My new M220 soon to be camper

I added a flag. My wife liked it and wanted to me to see it so she took the boys for a ride. I will be adding another 2' to the pole. She cannot deny the big smile! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBm1H4H6-tM&feature=youtu.be

Well, it is the wrong color red. Then I was going to lay down the windshield and realized I was dead set on hardtop and heater since it is a Wisconsin truck last fall and I cut off all the extra stuff including the tab for the support. Hummmmm......... Here is the new plan. I'll be making new...

I ask myself why I took this stuff off just to paint it? Dual machine gun ring mounts are for 2 flags. Time to get going again

    366 with Allison in G749?

I'd go 366 and Allison, 20 gallon fuel cell between the frame rails in back, mechanical fuel pump, dual stacks. Modify the suspension by having to remove the top dogbone that goes from frame to axle (you know the one where your starter will be) remove the front shackles and make solid spring...

Help finding g749 tie rod ends.

I may be looking at a pair while I type! what one do you need? Do you need anything else? I'll PM you my number PS. I dug my 4 door cab out of the shed last week and started working on it again. At least it is all green now. I got all fired up when I came across a couple chunks of frame rail...

    M105 Utility trailer build

I'll let you know. Need to get safety chains and lights on before it goes on the highway. It moves around the yard very nice as it is about 3-4" wider than the tow vehicle. Easy to back up when you can see it in the mirrors. It was an absolute bear behind the deuce in reverse.

    M105 Utility trailer build

We got her mounted for a fitting. Pulled it up from behind and slowly let it down on the frame. Fit is good. I made the tongue a little longer so it is easier to back up with the suburban. I will block it up and pull the frame out later. I want to see where to best put lights, and loops and...

    M105 Utility trailer build

I thought I would have to cut the mounting tabs ff, but they fit between the cross members so I will leave them. Cautiously pulling up to measure with the truck. Some surface rust, but not too bad

    M105 Utility trailer build

I decided to build a usable trailer out of an old M105a2. Earlier this year I found a drop axle with electric brakes and leaf springs in a South Dakota salvage yard for $50. The axle has 6 bolt hubs. It is supposedly a #5200 axle according to the Local trailer dealer. I picked up 3 sticks of 3"...

Successful recovery of a M105A2 from Sparta yesterday

Any chance you can carry that custom stairway between the frame rails of the 109 box? That is where I keep mine
