    Deuce 2'' reciver install

The bucket would be handy when taking things apart, you could throw all the small parts and fasteners inside. Maybe you could strap a tool belt on it to hold your tools? Or you could even fill it full of ice... Nice hitch!

m35a3 rims and tires fit on m135?

Thanks for the safety concern. I was considering running the Michelin XL 12.50R20 41" Tall 12.50" Wide x 20" on stock M135 wheels. Sorry, I don't frequent the "Mod and Rod" forum. I definitely will research it further before I make any purchases. Thanks again for looking out for all of us and...

m35a3 rims and tires fit on m135?

I've been considering some tire size upgrades as well. I suspect you will be into the front fender on anything but the flat highway. I was thinking more along the lines of Michelin XL 12.50R20 41" Tall 12.50" Wide x 20"

That will fit nice behind the M135. Sorry I could not meet you there. That work thing got in the way!

    1953 M135 Rebuild Project.

I wanna say it is a heat shield for the spare tire by the exhaust stack, but I cannot remember how it mounts. can you find it in the TM?

    My first heavy truck xm215

Aaaaaah, so they must have lengthened the shackles to keep the same caster. The springs are mounted lower in the rear since the rear shackles removed. You should be good to go!

    My first heavy truck xm215

Not true. If you remove the top dog bone ,the bottom ones then become the center of the pivot point (where they attach to the axle) and the springs will still "rotate" backwards and forwards. The top one is needed as well or you need to anchor one end of the springs. I'm cutting some apart right...

Body panel stands made from 3/4" conduit

No. that was the fox and the racoon. The coyote was taken in by 300win mag in the first valley at Dad's. I took it to the taxidermist along wth $450 and said "Whatever you do, don't put it on a piece of wood and please, please take out some of that extra hide, especially around the neck. Pull it...

Body panel stands made from 3/4" conduit

Yea, it is a really bad mount. Sometimes I just stick it in the yard for fun.

Body panel stands made from 3/4" conduit

Thanks. I'm going to pick up a pair of 12" shelf brackets to mount a few inches below the ceiling. It will keep them up out of the way when not in use.

    My first heavy truck xm215

People often incorrectly jump to the conclusion that the dog bones are to prevent axle wrap under the severe torque of the engine or braking forces. I suppose they do serve that function to a point. But take a closer look at how the suspension actually functions in this truck. This truck was...

Something looks different. The front spring hanger fooks a little longer. Where did the dog bones go?

Body panel stands made from 3/4" conduit

I made these stands out of 3/4" conduit. Each piece was left 10' long. The bends started at 36" from the ends. Starting the bend at 36" makes the overall height 42". When you open the stands the working height is actually closer to 32-34" depending on how wide you open them. The pivot is 1/4"...

Putting disc brakes on a deuce

Maybe you can swap disk brakes from another truck in your salvage yard. Otherwise maybe you can trade one of the running trucks for a parts truck with the stock brakes. What exactly is the long term goal, to get 1 truck working or several?

    Just acquired 12 m211's......

You got a good deal on the shipping in my opinion. I paid $500 for one to go 300 miles. Where in Arizona are you located? Is not Arizona one of those states where you can actually get a title easily?

Putting disc brakes on a deuce

Good point on the driveshaft RPM. I wonder if they were ever used on paved roads? maybe that is how they got by. :deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse:
