    24 V problems!

Were there any higher output Generators / Voltage Regs available? If so, what should I be looking for?

    My Big Ride

Cool tuck! How many gallons of CARC is it gonna take to paint that thing? Seriously, I'm jealous! good find!

    Ever hit a Sub-Compact?

Intelligence does not enter into this equation. They are patently stupid. That is a given. Any interface incident with them will entail a very long, and unhappy conversation with your insurance agent. Years of driving has taught me that the best plan is to avoid the morons, and let someone else...

    24 V problems!

it was a 25 amp V/R. If we could upgrade, a matched Generator and V/R would be very cool! Let me know!

    24 V problems!

I posted a want ad for a Delco-Remy voltage Reg. Got a good one at a reasonable price? Please PM me.

    Iltis Cable Layer

It was designed by Volkswagen, and built in Canada by Bombardier. Not too bad of a vehicle, but prone to overheating and way under powered!

    Other types of seats..

The higher end Bostrom seats are OK, but the mediun to budjet ones really hurt. Highway caoch seats tend to be the better ones. Deluxe long haul truck lines sometimes spend the money too! What ever seat you get, make sure that you know the effective ride cusioning distance. Build a shim as...

    Other types of seats..

Air ride let you last longer. The best ones that I have found are IHC stock seats. From what I hear Volvo seats are good too. Freightliner? From an FL-70 maybe. FL-50 not on your freaking life! Those cheap things hurt! The stock, unsprung seats in our 1956 M-135 are better! Trust me , I do know!

    buying a 5 ton Wrecker

People much smarter than I, have already commented. Off road Yup! Highway towing... not so much. Mind you we can't even get a decent M-35A-2 for less than 8 Grr up here, you may have a cool truck. Keep us posted!nopics

Classifieds suggestion - REQUIRE vehicle titles

Title............Look kids, it is part of sale disclosure. Unless you can provide a title, it's a parts truck. Please bear that in mind when you set your price. If the buyer wants to jump through the hoops to change it from donor truck to registered truck...well that's their problem. If I want...

    M-135 electrical

Bought the TM, beat up the V Reg, and guess what, the over voltage relay now is certified for a Welder's "C" ticket. Off to the shop for a rebuild! :deadhorse:

    2010 PNW Mini - Rally

The M-135 has some issues, so I can't make it. I would love to, so I could meet my green neighbours. If you're available, come on up for our July 1 parade, in North Vancouver. The more green trucks, the better. I'm on the parade comittee, so I think we can find room for you! I'll make it south...

Need cab heat for drive home

Listen to Hulka this is the safest route. Hang on, You're CDN. You got a snowmobile suit? Batt powered?

Guess what it is? It's off a "Deuce"

And here I thought that it was some Alaskan device to keep your beer from freezing solid! Either that or a receptacle to keep the ice cubes for my Canadian Club and Coke! Well you gotta be creative!

    Alternator Crashed

So here is a really dumb question.... Do generators work in the same manner? Ie...do they require batt voltage do start the process? It has been way too many years since they tried to teach this to me and now I'm finally stuck with a finicky M-135 with a generator. Another question which wasn't...

    Pripyat, Russia

BTW too narrow and long for earth movers, and if they were cranes, why not dump them in the original VEH park? Brighter minds than me know the answer, and they aren't saying!

I hope that you're right. From the shots that I could bring up, I only got rough dimensions. I think that the bright boys in Langley were on top of this one... I hope! Here we are many years after still trying to guess what actually went on. I doubt that we'll know in our life times. I will...

    Why Lift

Yup. What "ragedracer" said. Getting high centered is not fun! A body lift will raise your skid pans and bumpers to give you that extra bit of clearance. Too much will just cost a lot of $$ in U-joints and stress on diffs and T/F cases. Unless you buy a properly engineered kit, it will look...

    Pripyat, Russia

srodocker: the 7th post on page 1 gives a fairly accurate account of what happened. They are going to glow in the night for a very long time. A lot of brave firemen died to clean up the mess. A weapons program may also have had a major setback (just a suppositon)! ......Whatever. Don't bid on...

Gunboy1656. I have no idea why they would have SCUDs there, but that's what it looks like to me. I'm sure that NSA has already sussed this one out, but I'll ask a few COMBLOK/INT pers that I know. If I get an answer that I can PM, I'll let you know.....if they will even tell me! rememer that...
