    Interesting M37 from Fort Hood

He’s still around and he still has the EOD m37, just never on the site anymore.

    Steering wheel removal.

Here’s what the military steering wheel puller looks like. Something like this and some heat will probably do it.
  5. Evil Dr. Porkchop

    Hi everyone

    Welcome to the site.
  6. Evil Dr. Porkchop

What did you do to your trailer today.

Made some progress on the goofy looking m416. Nothing special up close but it’s green. I just want to get something done completely, even if it’s the easiest project.

    TH400 to NV4500 crossmember

I think I used 2” square tube. Everything worked fine.

    TH400 to NV4500 crossmember

I used the stock crossmember with an added spacer in my nv4500 truck.

    New Guy from NJ

Welcome to the site, that looks like a real nice trailer. At least someone figured it out after only snapping two of the wheel studs.

I Bought a 100 Year Old Army Trailer Today

The trailer is shown just after the 2 minute mark in this company history video.

I Bought a 100 Year Old Army Trailer Today

The trailer was a really good deal, and right in town too. The seller even delivered it for free since we didn’t haggle. The tires do look pretty good for 100 years old! I really think that after checking the hubs this could still be used in a farm or similar application as it sits (of course...

I Bought a 100 Year Old Army Trailer Today

I might have to check with organizations like that to find put more about it. I don’t think they were actually used in the war, I suspect they were ordered because of the war and never used (probably too late to need them) Based on newspaper ads there were some big surplus auctions in the US...

I Bought a 100 Year Old Army Trailer Today

So a quick search of that newspaper archive site showed ads based upon the one in the original post started showing up in California newspapers around October of 1921. Prices were $275 then eventually $200. It looks like an earlier ad with a different picture showed up in a Davenport, Iowa...

    Price Check on a M100

$400 is a great deal if it’s solid. The lunette itself is the same as on m416s (although some early m100s did have the thinner style) and will bolt up as long as they didn’t ruin the casting (which looks okay from the pic).

M936 Power Divider - Incredibly Stiff

Here are the manuals you want to read, you’re looking at the book for an earlier model truck. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/tms-for-the-939-series-trucks.79228/
  17. Evil Dr. Porkchop

What did you do to your trailer today.

I’m working on changing over an m416 jeep trailer to m416a1 specs lately. Since the surge brake is similar to the one on the m101a2 and a3 I figured it’d be different to install a crank up landing leg like on the m101a3 so I modified one to fit. On the left is an stock m101 series leg, in the...

Winch questions: Will 5-Ton fit a Deuce? Conversion? Etc.

Is the winch on the front or back of the truck?
  19. Evil Dr. Porkchop

Are these XLs 14.00-20 or 16.00-20?

    I’d say 14.00x20.
