Any pictures or information on the Dodge XM195?

David Doyle's book about Dodges has quite a few pics of those trucks. I'm sure some of them are of your truck, it should be easy to tell now that you have the hood numbers.

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

Looks like the pipeline truck was originally sold from Picatinny Arsenal in 1994. The VIN info on the truck showed it was last used in NJ so that makes sense. That'd be a good price nowadays...

Help Identify this Building Mover MV

    I think that's an m26a1.

    M35A3 TC PTO question

One of the reasons pipeline construction bodies were built for the m35 series was that they could be equipped with a full engine torque power take off on the transfer case, while the GMC m211 could only be equipped with a PTO that delivered 30% torque.

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

The bows are just regular deuce bows but the tops are narrower for the narrower bed. Some day we'll get the bed sides, side racks, and bows all done since we have it all, just need to find the time.

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

A pic of the pipeline truck from probably around 20 years ago. It looks almost exactly the same as it did when it showed up in 2016. Looks like it’s about time to repaint the barn.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Yesterday I replaced a broken coolant bottle in my m1028, might be taking a look at the radiator next. rofl It's a common sense thing.[thumbzup]

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Went to the salvage yard this morning and picked up some parts: Another shift boot, 6.5 diesel oil pump drive to replace the vacuum pump, another clutch fluid reservoir, a shifter out of a jeep wrangler, and some shift knob parts. I use the later style transfer case shift knobs on my trucks...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

The last few days I've been making some progress on the NV4500 swap. There's still a bunch left to finish up but the truck is running and driving again.

Well I did just get an apology PM so maybe it's that.

Southeast Willys Jeep Get Together 10/6/18 Asheville, NC

Got my PM just now at 12:01. When he says he's inviting everyone he means it. That's one way to make everyone hate you and your get together.

    M51A2 dump bed install questions

Early trucks had small round taillights with a cats eye lens, the wires will be in a different spot than the new larger taillights used since around 1970ish. On my 2.5 ton dump truck the mounting holes are drilled lower and the composite lights work then, maybe you could do the same on the 5...

That'll work for me, thanks Mark.

31st annual MVMVC Weare Rally July 26th-28th 2018

I added some pics and prices to my above post. I'm looking for the shelter tie down stuff for an m1028 CUCV if anyone happens to have a set. I have just the front bar but none of the other hardware or brackets. Also looking for an m36 long wheelbase side rack. I have a Hesse Hornet air...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Lately I've scrapped out the two parts trucks I'm using for the NV4500 swap and started getting the parts ready to go. I test fitted the bellhousing on an engine to see how much grinding needed to be done for the starter but it seems to work just fine as is, unless I'm missing something...

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

Thanks. There is still plenty of work to get done on it but we're making progress slowly. Yesterday I started trying to remove the pins that hold the gin poles to the truck. They bolt on from the outside, there's no way to get to them from underneath the truck and nothing to grab with a...

MEP-805B on Trailer - NEED HELP

Welcome to the site. My advice is don’t even think any further about towing it home with an FJ Cruiser. That trailer is massive and not safe nor legal behind an FJ. You’re going to need a new plan.

    No low beam.

I've had similar problems with a faulty high/low switch. My headlights would work once every 50 or so clicks until I changed it out. So that might be a good place to start if you know both headlights are good.

    New Member from VT

Welcome from Colchester. I'm not exactly sure what the original color would be for a 1980 model. For Army trucks early m813s would have been 24087 OD green with the large white stars. In the mid 1970s they started painting trucks MERDC 4 color camo so perhaps a 1980 would have been the base...

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

At some point I'll have to bolt some wood blocks to the face of the rear winch. They're shown in the TM, I guess they're to protect the winch from something sliding into it when the headboard isn't on. A friend's 1969 m756a2 still has them. The 1970 truck probably should have them too...
