    Looking for Manufacturer Info

Welcome to the site. Here's a link to some helpful info: http://www.militarytrader.com/military-vehicles/dating-deuce-g-742-2-12-ton-cargo-truck-production I think you may be one digit short on the serial number. 05 is the lot number, 23 indicates it's an m342a2 dump truck. From the...

    Hello everyone! New owner here!

Welcome to the site. I believe the dual chamber air tank was used on the later deuces which had dual circuit brakes. Nice truck and trailer.

New to me m59 dump truck...

Maybe this winter I'll clear some space in the barn so I can at least get some work done on parts and pieces. If I stopped buying projects that would help too.

    M101 rear latch

I can't recall having an m101 with gates that didn't have the notch. Maybe the early ones didn't have it or perhaps it's a defect. I think I have a set of early gates I could look at tomorrow.

    M105a2 advise

There have been threads on tandem towing m105s before. The general consensus is don't even try it.

What did you do to your trailer today.

    They're a little bit different.

    vehicle identification

Is your data tag original? The winch could have been added during it's military service or in civilian life.

New to me m59 dump truck...

Your m108 is looking good, that'll be a really nice truck when it's all done. I'd like to have one some day but I have to catch up on my current projects first.

New to me m59 dump truck...

I bought the truck two years ago today and it's still not even close to done. I fired it up yesterday and it still drives and tips though! Maybe next year.:-x

    1953 m35a1?

The gas powered m35s didn’t have the intake going out the side like the multifuel trucks (except for the tall intake if it had the fording kit installed). Also the exhaust should exit by the passenger side tandems. If the truck was equipped for fording there would be a tall stack bolted on...

I always charge them while they're still hooked up.

    Title Help Needed in SC.

Just some info, interpret how you want. If you have a bill of sale from the seller with all of the relevant information on it you that's all you would need to register it in VT. You do not have to be a VT resident to register a vehicle in VT either. Since VT does not require titles for trucks...

    Look what I found!

So did you buy it?:) Even with the top missing it would still be a pretty sweet truck. From the pics it looks pretty solid.

    M51 PTO Reverse

I thought the m51 just used a regular PTO with the rear accessory drive bolted on.

    1953 m35a1?

Welcome to the site. Does the truck had a gas engine or a multifuel? In 1953 the m35 with the gas engine was still in production, the m35a1 didn’t exist yet. Many of the gas powered trucks were later changed to m35a2 specs with the multifuel engine. You should be able to find troop seats...
