    M 884 front axle bearings

    Disk brakes are correct for your 1977. before taking it apart,chock the rear wheels, put the transfer case in neutral, lift and support the front axle, rotate the suspected wheel by hand to see what it feels like. I think you could also go to autozone.com and look up the front hub for a W200...

    Remove the runflats. I run the 36's on my M880, once they are warm they are smooooth. or get a set of 12 bolts and 37" radials and give me the 8 bolts & 36's ;)

    Carnac can only tell the last Army unit that entered anything about it using the vin and reg # Other option is to carefully sand down the front bumper, passenger side to reveal unit ID numbers. Highly doubt that a M884 would have been used to pull aircraft.
