With the M35A3 wheels you do not have to worry about if the guy made the centers right, or cut the 10 lug centers out true. You also don't have to worry about them not being DOT legal. With the A3's you can hang a spare where it was intended.

LOL! You will likely find that the fast idle will still work in the summer! The fast idle cam not releasing is quite common on these.

I would think a 3/8" plate would do the trick, 1/2" would be better. It may be strong enough without, but it would cheap insurance.
