I don't like it one bit.....because I am super jelous of your work shop... :) 2 car garage with a leaky roof....
Anyway...the truck looks good! I have no problem with your modifications and think you've got a great looking truck and project there.
There was a work order put out to disable the CTIS and isntall a regular valve stem and run the tire at a regular tire pressure. I think it was applied to other trucks like the HEMMIT and a few others that had the CTIS on them.
Just in case you don't know what the abrevation is...CTIS= Central Tire Inflation System. You can raise and lower the tire pressure with out leaving the cab of the truck. The little triangle cover protects the air line to the valve stem.
Yep that's the slobber tube. It is meant to leak oil and allow the motor to mark it's territory... :-P But it should have a 15-18 inch length of rubber tubing on it so that the oil drips out toward the ground instead of on the motor.
I wish I was closer...I need a good cab because mine is rusted beyond repair. But I'm in Cleveland Ohio and I would think shipping would kill me... otherwise I'd take it off your hands. Have you tried posting on g741.org?
Yeah they had them.... generally they were OD with the airforce writting on the doors. What I'm looking for is the air force OD color number. I've seen USAF trucks that are an OD color different than the regular OD. They are not 34079 forest green, they are not USMC forest green and they are...
Ok...so when I took the seat covers for and M35 and put them on my M211 and they fit just fine I just had a freakishly abnormal seat that was the same? Hmmm I hate it when that happens.
Take the cigs away from your motor...... :D
It may be possible that your exhust is leaking and your just seeing it back there because the engine fan pushing to the back of the compartment?
If it was owned by a National Guard unit there is a good chance that it got cammoed and then never updated to the 3 color Nato camo. That pattern is sometime also refered to as the 4 color. 45% color 1 45% color 2. 5% color 3. and 5% color 4 (black) I personally prefer the 4 color cammo over...
Yep he needs at least a 12-13 inch length of 1-1/4 inch rubber hose on that port if for nothing else to keep crap off the engine. I replaced mine with a longer length than was on it so it would go down past the axle and slobber on the ground. I like the idea that Bjorn did...wish I had thought...

It looks great! I miss my old M211....they ride better than the M35s do it just didn't have any road spead.....That and the exhust manifold...it's not a question of if you have to replace the gasket but a matter of when you have to replace the gasket. I knew one guy that told me he replaced...
I agree with the above statements. It's your truck and you can do what you want with it, but I would trade it to someone for a regular cargo truck. As stated these trucks are very rare and should be restored when they can be. Just adding food for thought.
