I don't care what the data plate on the trailer says, Pribbs didn't start manufacturing the M105a3 trailer until 1996. ALL M105A3 trailers have surge brakes. If the tail lights aren't mounted on either side of the tail gate, you don't have an A3 trailer.

In a lot of areas of the country, TSP is no longer being sold due to the phosphates causing a reduction of sea life. At least on the east coast, Homedepot and Lowes sells a TSP replacement that is non-phosphated. I used to use TSP prior to parkerizing and found that good ole TSP wasn't available.

Are you sure that's an impact socket? Every impact socket I've ever seen has been black oxide finish. Chrome plating makes sockets brittle which is a no-no with impact guns.
