The color numbers referenced are from Federal Standard 595 which is used for US government procurement. The specification can be downloaded from a few locations for free.
The current revision is rev "C" however rev "C" no longer contains color swatches.
I'm attaching rev "B" which is the same...
The "dump" feature was intended for reduced shipping space not actually using the trailer for a dump unit.
The two cast fittings on the end of the "A" frame are one of the weak points of the trailer, plus the brake lines don't have a rubber line installed at the pivot point which will over time...
All of the shells on my connectors have been molded in place.
I have one last NOS trailer cable if you need it for $30 plus the ride. It will fit in a large USPS priority mail box.
The A3 is a heavier chassis than the A2 with an additional leaf spring. The base chassis is rated for 1 ton on the A3 verses 3/4 ton on the A2.
You could drop the A2 axle with lines in intact and bolt it up under the A3 frame.
A A3 trailer is worth more if you need to sell than an A2.
Here's a little info on the RFID unit that you have. So unless NCIS is camping out on your door step, they ain't got a clue where the trailer was. Now they do. [thumbzup]
"The SaviTagST-654 high performance tag is a data-rich active RFID tag suited for various applications including tracking of...
I don't know if the USG will allow you in but in case they do, try this link.

If you get in, enter into the pub title section "M989" and life will get...
Angus, nice trailer.
Did you do the swap of the wheels from the 12 bolt to the 8 bolt versions or did the trailer come that way?
I'm under the impression that the 8 bolt wheels should not be used with radial tires??
I won some M101 tarps and bows from the Sparta location and would like to know if anyone would be willing to pick them up and transport them to the Haspin rally for transfer to Gimpyrobb?
I'm not looking for free.
The weight listed is 425 lbs.
Thanks in advance.
Mike, If it was the A3 with tarp parked a couple of spaces up from you at Aberdeen, that would have been mine.
What pics do you need or want?
Here to please.
Chief, the M1101 and M1102 don't use a tube axle but use stub torsion axles.
The ground clearance is right up against the bottom of the trailer frame now instead of the axle height.
I see a dent in the top of the gate but can't say that the ring mounted on the trailer caused it as the truck appears to have lots of "love taps" on it.
One of the security personnel at Ft Meade ordered me to drop the tail gate on my truck. The other security officer with the K-9 dog told him I...
That may be true, but women in short skirts look fantastic getting into and out of a lowered Corvette. [thumbzup]
Most women don't care for green iron, my girlfriend included.
I vote for a trailer hitch on the deuce and a U-haul car trailer for the car. If the trailer deck sits too tall...
NewEgg computer parts recently had the P4400 units on sale for $14.99 plus free shipping. I picked up a couple of them.
I wanted to see just how much electricity the coffee pot was using. After running the P4400 for a couple of weeks, once the coffee is done brewing, it gets turned off.
The PDF file that I posted came directly from Fel-Pro. You'll do some digging to find it as their site sucks.
Unless the gasket manufacturer specifically calls for a sealant/chemical to be used, I'd install dry.
With the vast number of vehicles now using aluminum cylinder heads, applying...
So the air compressor on your truck doesn't work?
If I'm planning on removing the wheels on my trucks or trailers, I apply a liberal application of PB Blaster or Kroil and drive around for a couple of days before the back breaking day. Most of the time the movement of the wheels allow for the...
A rivet by nature work hardens when squeezed or bucked.
Heating the rivet will remove the temper, making it softer and allowing the removal by force.
I'm not advocating heating the frame to the point of being red, but the mentioned method of hitting the rivet with a weld rod will work to...
Check out www.easternmarine.com as they sell a converter for activating hydraulic brakes.
It won't do you any good for this trip, but if you plan on transporting the equipment, it could be a life saver.
