You do not need the starter relay. The Army starter tossing or by-passing these things long ago. They are not needed and its just another thing to break. About 90 percent of my trucks (about 20 trucks over a course of 8 years.) from GL didn't have one or they were by passed entirely.
If the truck has not been driven for long periods of time, it is common for water or moisture to settle out of the tranny fluid and sink to the bottom of the tranny. This in return causes slight corrosion in the valves that open and close to allow shifting from one gear to the next. It is most...
I have to agree with Bruce on this one.
I don't think challenging people to do their homework is a bad thing. But like it was stated before, the question is mute. I know what M936A2 wreckers cost, what they cost me, and what the govt paid for them, but in the end, it is only worth what...
I would have to totally agree with Bruce's post.
When I only owned M809 series style trucks, m816 being one of them, I thought the NHC250 was the best thing invented. Now that I own a M936A2, it blows the NHC250 away. Comparing a truck with a NHC to a CTA motor is like comparing a MB jeep...
Alright, who got it?
That is one serious road tractor. Fiberglass hood and aluminum cab. Won't have to worry about the cab rusting out from you.
Just need a kick a s s trailer to go with it.
and a tank to tow around.
It went cheap.
Battle? These trucks were sitting on flatbeds being transported by non-us civilian trucks. I will let the mods make the call.
And you can call it 5-ton, Hemmtt, or junk truck sale, but you get the point.
How would you even attach the hood. Isn't the front frame cross member different from the M939 to the M809s? The steering linkage and setup will also be a big hurdle.
I am just not seeing these similarities between the 900s and the 800s.
Ditto.
It would cost you less to buy a quad then to make it back to an M3. You would need to replace all of the side armor and the floor. Congrats on your purchase. As far as condition of your truck, it looks excellent believe it or not. PM me if you have any questions concerning...
As long as people are willing to buy Stuarts and other armor at the prices they are asking, then they will keep selling that high. The WW2 museum in New Orleans paid $180,000 for a Stuart and after looking at it, it definitely wasn't a $180,000 tank. It doesn't even run good.
I know on my M936A2 it is located on the front passenger side hidden under the rubber hose elbow going to the transmission cooler. It is well hidden and a pain to get to but it is there.
