The same way as a Humvee. UIC / RUC (same number) on tailgate and on doors. Tire press. above wheels on fender. Sometimes they would have USMC below the UIC but not always. Marines never liked marking up their tactical vehicles.
UIC goes on the tailgate and center of vehicle/ or forward doors. Seen it done both ways.
SN goes on top of hood on both sides next to the lifting rings. Tire pressure markings above the wheel wells also.
I cant help but wonder if someone in the MV collecting world or even from this site called GL and said "You know, your not allowed to sell M151s according to such and such.....". just to be a D i C.
I can see someone saying "If I cant have it, then no one can".
I hope I am wrong though.
I was referring to when you jump from a 809 series to a 939A2 series. Not a Sraight 939 to a A2. Admittedly the only difference between the straight 939 and the A2s is the power plant and CTIS feature. The same goes for 809 to straight 939 series, between the two models its just a tranny change...
I know one thing. The South Korean Army is obviously smarter than the US Army in the fact that they didn't adopt or try to copy that POS FMTV style of vehicles.
Gents, one of my trucks will be up for sale within the next month. Basically I put back together a M936A2 and the truck is going to sell for what I have in it. My labor was free. If I would charge for my labor I thing it would be a $70000 truck. Obviously I don't think the truck is worth that...
Thanks Rupp,
I looked on GL to post the pics but I could not find them. Like I said, nice truck.
BTW, whoever ends up buying mine when I sell it, I would throw in most of the wrecker tools with it.
Anyone see what the final price for the M936 went for? Someone mentioned $25,500 and that's BEFORE taxes and the buyers premium. And it was just a straight 900.
I must admit it was a clean truck but considering that I will be selling an M936A2 for less when you count all of the fees and...
You will not find a nicer or get as close as “like new” M925A2 than Bruce’s truck. I personally inspected the truck and it is top notch. Bruce is correct in the fact that I am trying to finish up my M936A2 project so that I can buy his cargo variant. However, we have an understanding that it...
We Marines utilize other Branches of Services bases all the time. It may not be Ft. Dix but I know we use an Army / NG base for all of our training up there. That being said, Marine Reserve units can be found on Army, Air Force, and Navy bases throughout the US.
