This deuce looks like it could haul a container fairly well.

snow / ice tires for deuce

Over-sized tires do not do better on snow/ice. In slick conditions a narrower footprint affords better traction. You need lbs. per sq. inch for traction on ice. Here's a pic of what the Canadians used on their deuces. Michelin XZL 11R20's singled.

MEP-002A and MEP-003A glow plug and heater part numbers

Many of the members in the CUCV forum already have been aware of this vendor. I have purchased glow plugs for my 1008 and civilian GM pickups from him in the past. First class place to deal with!

    I need help bad.

GM never built a K20 Blazer. No 3/4 ton blazer either. The original post mentions working on the left rear and a spindle. The M1009 doesn't have a rear spindle as it is a C-clip axle setup. Just tell the spring guys what the vehicle's GVW is. If they are any good at their job that will be...

    Bead Breaker

I appreciate the effort Will. I'm familiar with the Bishman unit pictured below. As the tag indicates on mine, it is a Lee unit, likely what the military used prior to the Bishmans.

    Alternative Rear Tandem Wheels

Do you get a large number of flats? Constantly changing tires? Having started driving "large cars" nearly 40 years ago, I have never had any problems running trucks with split rim mounted tires. I haven't had a handful of flats in all those years on the big trucks. Tubeless are great, I like...

    cupping tires

I run 42,(maximum tire manufacturer suggested pressure), in the front tire on all my radial equipped bikes. I average 16-17,000 on them with even wear. Guys that run the bike recommended front tire pressures,(31-36), all have cupping problems. I adjust the rear tire pressure for loaded weight. I...

    A3 spare tire mount

No, I haven't got that big of rubber, yet. I singled the truck out and used tubeless wheels. These rims won't work with the stock spare mount. I'm currently using a 11.00 on a stock wheel for a spare. There is a need to move these mounts out, down, and back for larger diameter tires. Here are a...

"Yesterday, 21:36 post #5 (permalink) gringeltaube 4 Star General Here are some pics, plus a diagram (from the book) plus some of my own solutions.... For the stock A3 wheel/14.5R20 combo on a A2 you only need to lower the original carrier about 2". In the case of the A3 it was moved down...
