I would agree with this, espacially with no pictures. A year or two ago restored ones were going for almost if not 10k. Reality has since hit all of us and brought the price down to 6k to 8k for restored ones. If it is as good as you describe, then expect to pay at least 5k for the truck...
Ditto. Had this problem all the time with farm tractors that sit around. Clutch is stuck to the flywheel making you believe it is a frozen motor. . A good and simple way to check this problem is to put the transfercase in neutral and see if the truck can be towed freely.
Also, were the men on trucks primary job transportation or infantry? I guess what I am asking is this. Were the gunners on the trucks specifically infantry trained or were they truck drivers forced in a gunner type roll. I still hear this crap in the Marines about your a nobody unless you are...
Driver, what were the exact dimensions of the sheet armor used on guntrucks. The ones with the ports in them. It looks like the Nancy Guntruck had the pre-made sheets with the slant cut going right across the ports. How thick was the plate? Was it welded on the side of the bed or bolted on...
I did bid on it and at one point I was determined to bring it home. However, I did not physically inpsect the truck and it was too big of a risk on getting it and not knowing whether or not the parts were in the back. Did you inspect it? Was the tranny and motor in the bed?
