Mine had to be shipped by low boy and weighed over 46,000 lbs. A far cry from the 36,000 lb data plate.

i had an m816 year of manufacture was1969 by kaiser jeep corp. I believe 1969 was the first year.

I have the same book. Came with two others to make a complete set of thress. Good dated pictures in them for reference.

It seems 800 series brought in a pretty dime this past auction. Just one auction ago they were going for abut 2k less. Anyone know why or did anyone get one? Some of the m813s look average to decent. Nothing jump out at me.
