Six of the seven trucks I stopped bidding on yesterday are now in overtime today as are two others I was watching. GL's getting no help from me on this!

    Alabama tag info

You do not need a SF97 in Ohio. Ohio accepts notarized Bill of Sale to get title. Ask the GL people in Scottsdale nicely for a notarized Bill of Sale. You will have to provide the info from the truck ID. Get the offered help from this site to establish the model year. The "Paid Invoice" is not a...

Pics of my 1009... to keep or not to keep

Keep it. You should be able to run the 33/12.50's on an 8"wide rim with no lift kit.

Can someone explain this to me about diff/axle strength...

I've run 33/12.50-15's on 8" wheels for over 30 years on several GM half tons and never busted anything axle related. My one 1/2 has carried an 8.5' Western Pro plow since 1984 and it is a heavy sucker. All these have had 3.73 gears in them unlike the 1009 and it's 3.08.

    Deuce manufacturers

If in referring to a "deuce" it is not limited to the M35, then two manufacturers that I have not seen mentioned would be GMC and IH .

    M1008 as a DD?

If you don't want to start cutting the sheetmetal and do lift kits the first cheap thing to do is buy the tallest regular width tire you can get. I run 255/85-16 BFG's on the stock rims on my 1008. They are about 33.5" tall. No clearance problems whatever. You might be able to run some Interco...

What Model - Dually CUCV Pickup

Never had the military "dually" but, plenty of the civilian models. Worked great hauling camper and towing trailers. The K30 4x4 versions did not come with a rear sway bar, never missed it.

    M1008 front differential!

I see you already edited your post after you seen you were incorrect about there not being 30 spline units. I visit Pirate from time to time and find they aren't much if any more accurate for information. I have never taken a front CUCV Dana 60 apart and was unsure of what they might have used...
