I think the kneeling valve was an early feature. So the trucks height could be rapidly lowered. No need for them on the back since the bed is lower than the cab. Probably not a feature that saw alot of intended use. Better to replace it with an elbow then risk having issues with it.

The regular elbow can be ordered online for around 40 bucks. The part number is in the tm. You can search it online its is an eaton part if you dont search it as an eaton part its hard to find.
R22 is very expensive now. I stay away from r22 units. I believe there is a nu22 drop in replacement refrigerant available. I usually vac them down and see if they hold the vacuum for an hour or so before I charge them.

If the fuel rail is to the left and you jump the starter and manually crank it the engine should run. You will have to stick your finger in the hole push the rail all the way right to stop the engine though. I don’t see it hurting anything. Are any other parts missing from the gen?
Looked at the parts gen. Engine is stuck. Now I remember why its a parts gen. Was kind of apart when I got it so the military guys must have been trying to troubleshoot it. The block appears solid though.
