hrbergeron had similar troubles recently on one of his HMMWVs. Maybe his thread will help: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/transmission-light-issue.194948/post-2318019

Understood. Unless someone else has a different experience than mine, I'd say it's toast. It's not possible to open them up (all that I've seen) for service.

Best of luck either way. Don't forget that if you buy from GP there are auction fee percentages and sales taxes on top of the winning bid, which add up to significant $$ fast for a vehicle you can't drive off the lot (since most Govt depots don't allow it, even for runners).
I second Retired...
LED or Incandescent bulbs? You haven't given a lot of information, but when I see one blink and then nothing, it's usually when an Incandescent flasher relay interacts with the very-low power draw of LEDs and refuses to blink properly.

Looks good.
What brand/source did you use for the USB and Cig Lighter ports? I've tried a few but they failed due to poor construction. Would like to replace them.

For the lights, I agree there could be a grounded or chafed wire somewhere. One thing that helped mine was to unscrew the connector from the back of the light control box, clean it and replace it. Could just be some corrosion on the pins.

My Breton, installed this year, has seam sealant obviously visible on it. Perhaps they forgot or it isn't thick enough. I second the recommendation to re-coat the seams. Some center support won't hurt either. I'm thinking about it as much for noise as drainage. My new Breton top is a bit...
I agree an empty enclosure would work easiest, but eBay has like 2 of them and they're apparently made of gold...
If someone has an enclosure, I'd be happy to discuss taking it off your hands.

On the off hand chance anyone knows this, I'm trying to find a replacement male 37-pin connector for a HMMWV 4L80E control box. I've searched various manufacturer's websites and catalogs for Amphenol mil-spec connectors, and found plenty of 37-pin versions, but none with what appears to be the...
Well done! Thanks for this write up. Had a similar issue with mine a few years ago. I opted to replace the whole regulator, but saved the old one as I figured it could be repaired.

I had my alignment done at an industrial truck shop, as they were more comfortable with large split rims. Local garages that provide to Jeepers are not as equipped for heavy-AWD stuff like ours. Maybe a few calls to tractor-trailer servicers?

Remember the TM: if you tow it by tow bar more than a few miles and intend to tow at speeds higher than 30MPH, you must disconnect the propeller shafts (drive shafts). High speed tow bar towing is NOT recommended though, even so.
I was able to get mine off the DLA lot without using a tow bar...
I don't recall in your other thread if you verified all connections for primary power, so perhaps check the battery wires on the underside of the body, opposite the ones you can see in the battery compartment?
Agree with tracing the +24V line to the start switch and PCB, regardless.
