I learned long ago, two wheel drive go where you want. STUCK,.... lock it up four wheels and go home.
I get the bad ass set ups, but my days of being rescue ranger... tow hook are over. Let the younger crowd roll around in the mud and snow. LOL
Wimpy and no winch, CAMO
If those covers could talk (LOL) they would have a heck of a story. Poking around and getting different problems... IS a problem.
These are all good question...and difficult to respond to. My best advice is to study the wiring diagram above. It is the "map" to this fix this problem. Wire...
I am sure the OP will report his experience or I WILL. Having the Camoteksystems controller gets my direct support. Try that with other "controller boxes" I also reached out directly. OP is free to share or discuss on going experience freely here.
Nobody defeated anybody. CAMO

5A is the "SENSE" lead from the control box to the alternator. 24 Volts in the RUN position. Some might call it the exciter or field.
Sticky subject. And there's the TM's too, CAMO
Here an idea ??? If not wanting the AC on your rig... re-purpose the compressor for "On Board Air" It's already bolted in and with some simple plumbing, a small tank or bigger a switch or cutout / regulator..."good to blow"
Could come in handy on the trail filling up JEEP tires...LOL...
