Picture is worth a 1000 words thank you. Now I see it.
So there are like metal cups glued to the rubber on each end looks like.
One side of this engages the center support #20
I think I could see a better way here.
It's an isolation mount so more work than I had been saying previously.
If #17...
I wish I could see how these mounts work. I would like to be able to help someone out by making up a set to try.
Without knowing if the bond from bushing to rubber is really important hard to say.
If the motor is just sitting on the rubber and the bushing and spacer only keep it in place then...
OK aluminum tubing is available at 0.884 on the ID. Should work it's corrosion resistant but the grade is not listed.
Probably easier to just make a new spacer if the old one still has rubber on it etc.
Make the spacer OD 1.000" and the length and ID whatever is the original.
Ok perfect. What are the dimensions of the spacer? Knowing that I can look for a spacer that will fit the rubber ID and the original spacer ID and length. No need for the tubing.
McMaster Carr has this. Which is 2" OD x 1" ID x 1" Long and costs a little over $7 each.
You could fabricate an inner bushing from 1" OD x 7/8" ID stainless tubing 12" of which is about $20.00.
Then press it in to the rubber.
Would that work? If the stainless bushing was 1" long would it...
I got from McMaster Carr a small aluminum manifold, some pipe plugs and 1/4" compression fittings with inserts. Ran a flexible tubing line from front axle to manifold mounted on firewall. Tee from back axle to middle and then to the manifold again. I got one with some extra holes so I can pipe...
I am in the process of figuring that out. As a guess based on everything I am reading from you and others it would seem that 5KW will handle it. Going to look into it more tonight/tomorrow.
Well in my case I do not typically keep a large amount of gasoline on hand. It doesn't last long even when treated and in my area I am not confident in being able to obtain more from gas stations in an emergency situation. I guess I might have 30 gallons around at any given time if I had to...
Has anyone here ever installed the Williams Blue Ox exhaust brake used on the 10 ton into a deuce or 5 ton?
Curious if it would work and how it works. Seems to be about the right diameter.
Just found out about this reading the 10 ton story again on Vannatta site and it got me thinking.
Guys looking for some opinion and advice please.
Is a diesel military gen set really worth the extra cost over these gas consumer units?
I see you can pick up new gas units in the 6500w range for under a grand.
Considering a MEP002 likely but I have to ask this question of those in the know.
Sounds like some Long Island, NY body guys must have moved to OK.
My 70 lb. dog did $7k damage running into my neighbor's car door...and he was fine.
Good luck with your resolution.
The connectors can be found here at MOUSER. The plug here for example.
That is not the right one per se but only an example of a 7 Pin x 1.250" connector.
You would need to measure the thread diameter to determine the shell size in 1/16th increments. So 1.25" is a 20 Shell.
Amphenol connector...
I went the same route after investigating Hagerty. Too many restrictions. Costs more but worth it for me to do what I want or might want to do without having to worry about not being covered if something goes wrong.
I find this an interesting question.
From what I can find Stainless Steel wire rope has less capacity that standard steel of the same diameter.
5/8" Wire Rope 6 x 19 IWRC Core Steel = 8,200 lbs. lift rated
5/8" Wire Rope 6 x 19 IWRC Core 18-8 Stainless Steel = 6,260 lbs. lift rated
Perhaps...
