It looked original but I didn't check the p/n. I think it may have gotten some sediment or something that prevented one or the other valve opening. I have to test it after cleaning.
As North Maine stated above try to hook the line from tank to the second pump inlet. Line should go right on. My first pump was bad and also not flowing thru for some reason.
Lot of input above. Varying opinions of course. Trucks vary too... I would give it a shot in the transmission. See how it shifts.
As for the transfer case I stuck with 80W-90 gear oil and it was fine. Previous owner had 85W-140 or whatever in it and in the cold it would grind while shifting...
Progressive Commercial on a Deuce I am paying about $900 with no restrictions on usage in NY. Less than I was paying State Farm. No fancy coverage.
Odd that they quoted so high but who knows how they look at this stuff area by area.
Well I guess I was thinking more for long term. Now I see the pump is available new production. My initial fear was that these were no longer available new and that was the expense.
So that being said it makes sense to buy the right pump and have it for a spare. I also notes it would not be...
Looks like the wire to the pump was damaged close to the pump. Got that little cap off. Going to solder on a new wire and it should be ok. Tested and the pump does run.
No that is how well planned and executed projects go wrong at the last minute. Too excited and taking risks.
Takes a special kind of mind to do it all right up to the very end and checking everything.
I myself fall victim to this too often.
One person on this site said it well. We do it...
Thanks guys.
12V Facet flow thru pumps are available for under $100. P/N FAC-480534
Has anyone tried a 24v to 12v dc converter to step down the fuel pump circuits?
Seems in my head that this could be done fairly easily without changing actual OEM wiring. 20A converter IP68 rated for $18 on...
One of my pumps died and for whatever reason the second one could not pull thru it. Pulled it apart and cleaned it. Moves easily back and forth inside. Put it in doesn't click.
Thoughts? It has power since by swapping the wires the good one still works. Could it be electrical in between...
Pulled my fuel filters off last night. There was a very large steel flat washer in each one on just one side of the filters that came out. I do not see this in the TM Figure 19 Fuel Filter Exploded View. This is a 003a.
Guess if I have the right filters now I do not need these?
As indicated elsewhere the demand for generators in general is really high right now. But if you need it you need it and I can see that where I am the grid is not infallible. At least I can be prepared now.
Read so many threads here and all the opinions of the knowledgeable guys which is great...
Thanks for the information and responses. Video was also good. I ended up getting a nice MEP-003A from member Light in the dark.
Looking forward to going thru it and getting it all set up.
Yes I have equipment labeled for 440v. It is all converted for 208v but I have asked that same question. Where do you get 440 from? We have a 480v feed...
Glad that worked out for him. Before I checked that I went thru all the trouble of verifying that I had put the head back in correctly. Checking the IP timing and all that too. I made the mistake of checking the hard stuff first. Thankfully the info was on this site for how to check it all but...
