    Arrival of 2nd HMMWV M1151A1

That one has been listed for months and months. It's not gonna move at that price. Anyone that does more than 5 minutes of research will realize you can get a whole truck for less than that.

If you get new ones I'm sure they will be fine. Mine were pretty weathered, looks like they spent years sitting in the desert sun.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

No pics because its not very exciting, but I swapped the worn out seatbelts in my m1151 for new OEM 3 point seatbelts. The existing ones were the "2 part" type with a separate lap belt and shouder belt. Interesting concept, but they didn't work for sh*t. Jammed all the time and didn't retract...

Sounds like a rivnut or a pem nut perhaps?

Does anyone know where I can find the tailgate strap panel

My 2007 m1151a1 (ECV) is just like that. Holes directly in the tailgate, no plate.

    Welding on the Humvee body.

You can get hole plugs in any size and multiple styles and materials from McMaster Carr. Just make sure you get the ones for the right sheet thickness. If the diameter is right but the sheet thickness is wrong it will be loose.

You just trying to fill the armor holes? Just put some bolts in them.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I did have to modify the bracket and hood slightly to make it fit. There are several ways it can be done, and I don't think I did it the best way honestly lol. Its hooked up to the blackout driving light circuit, so its controlled by the standard lighting switch (all the way to the left for on).

Steering and brake noises and issues

Also bleeding is best done after you fix whatever leaks allowed the air in in the first place ;)

    Chicken shield height?

Like what specifically though? Its different on one side than the other, there has to be a specific reason right?

Anyone know what the part number is for this ECV HVAC data plate?

Craig at Mac Motors will know and most likely have it in stock at a reasonable price.

    Chicken shield height?

In all seriousness, why is it shaped the way it is, and not just a rectangle? What is the notch in the bottom corner for?
  16. Autonomy_Lost

    Chicken shield height?

Wait, so you're telling me its NOT because its shaped like a chicken? Lol

Wife wants me to do the unthinkable due to the Florida DMV debacle!

I acknowledge RWH has been a valuable member here. Wasn't trying to pick a fight, just a little frustrating that we can't even discuss something which has many legal avenues. But rules are rules, so I will let this go.

"Unless compliant", yes you have to add backup lights and get them inspected, etc. No different from any other vehicle.

Wife wants me to do the unthinkable due to the Florida DMV debacle!

HMMWV's are no longer sold with "off road only" restrictions on the SF97 so I don't see the issue. No one is discussing anything remotely illegal.
