I just fabricated one this weekend. I had planned to post pics when I got it put on the truck. Basically it mounts to the bolt that holds the top of the pintle plate to the bumper. On the other side I put on a door bumper to keep from having metal to metal contact if it got pushed back. I did...
You probably have a M135 or M211 like you said. The engine is probably an engine from a M35 gasser. They are Reo gas engines. Like you stated, the M135 used a GMC engine. The date of manufacture would not be 72 They only made the M135 series in the 50's.
Welcome to the forum.
Anyone near Damascus or Salem OH? I need a 52 inch emergency light bar picked up and sent out at the UPS store. Any help would be appreciated. Mapquest had it near Toledo but I found out it is not near as close as I thought. If anyone could pickup that is going to the Findley show that would be...
One more thing, spraying Ether into the intake is not a precision operation. The quick start system provided a metered amount of fluid. Just enough to get the thing fired. It is actually quite a small amount actually used.
To go a little further, the front battery could be down just enough to cause the thing not to start or you rear battery could be bad while the front it good. In these cases the glow plugs might get enough juice from the week batteries to get the glow plugs hot enough but like doghead said, if...
Here is something I do to keep the paint from skinning. I use it with the carc and I still have a can I opened a month ago. No skin at all. The trick I use is to put some Argon gas into the can when I am done before I close up the can. It displaces the air with the moisture in it. I am also very...
Here is a thread I did with instructions for all three types of carc. The MIL- number tells you what type of CARC you are working with.
Here are the three types of carc.
MIL-C-46168 Coating, Aliphatic Polyurethane, Chemical Agent Resistant, Two Component [Cancelled 17 Aug 2005] (This is...
Jones,
You are confusing two different products. The single component is activated by mosture in the air and this is what you are thinking of. It is still a solvent based paint but the moisture in the air activates it. What he is talking about is the newest stuff that is not solvent based. It...
There is only one Carc Tan that I have ever seen. Carc is only available in Black, green, brown, and tan as far as I have ever seen.
I take that back. I see there is aircraft black and green also. The number for tan listed in the second link is the one you want to ask for. It should come in 5...
First it is not a ballast resistor. Ballast resistors are for ignition systems on regular gas cars and mostly used on Chrysler products. Your resistor is to drop the voltage from 24 volts to 12 volts for the glow plugs. Why do you think it is bad? What are your symptoms? There is no master list...
