The fuel shut off is the governor control box on the top of the injection pump. Did you adjust any of the rheostats on govern control behind control panel?

Probably not but something else my be hinky with throttle control, i would get it primed back up, and recreate problem. Was emergency shut off bypssed during testing?
1, Electronic governor incorrectly installed, first guess
2. hand primer is on right side on fuel pump, near fuel filter. If you are repriming, crack fuel line at pump to help purge air
If you get tired of it, bring it to me. Not too smert on the programming side but i know a guy.

i would control exchange stop switch to eliminate that question, or bypass.
did you say you had some corrosion on connectors? i would loosen then tighten every wire and connection i could get my hands on
